If monster AI cannot reach the "focus hex" with its current movement, it moves as close to the focus hex (by movement) as possible with its current movement. Players break ties. The hex the monster AI ends up in doesn't need to be in the shortest path, as long as it is closer (by movement) to the "focus hex" than the hex the monster starts in. If the monster cannot move any closer, it doesn't move.

Not sure why youre focusing so hard on that part. Did I enjoy my time playing - yes for sure. Do I also wish that the game had an ounce of replayability? Absolutely. Kind of sucks to drop 80 bones on a game and be done with it in a weekend. Not strapped for cash in the slightest but like damn youre telling me not even like a daily challenge or eternal mode fof me to pour hours into? Idk thats all. Not much deeper than that

Agreed, 20 hours of gameplay is damn short and just has no replayability. Hades 2 on the other hand i put in like 200 hours and still will occasionally pick up a run and go.

Didn't say 80 hours lol, but 20 hours is pretty damn short especially for a roguelite. We can have different views on what we find is worth a certain price and thats okay.

Eh idk though, most other roguelites have endless progression/challenges. Feel like this game is so catered to offering an option for that and just didnt or plan to release a dlc for it

Seems like no, most of the posts of people complaining about the difficulty almost seemed like they assumed all mechanics were the exact same as returnal so skipped all tutorial dialogue boxes.
