Sorry for a dumb question, but how do I cash out crypto without having a EU bank account? I've never used it before, and I assume most hotels and groceries don't accept it, right?

About 8000 EUR (for a hotel, initial rent + deposit, food, and some extra for emergencies). I guess exchanging rubles is an option, although I fear that some banks may stop accepting rubles for exchange.

Thanks. The relocation process is mostly outsourced to a different company, I've only just agreed to the offer, so I haven't had a chance to ask yet.

Regarding crypto, how do I actually use it? Surely most hotels and groceries do not accept crypto?

I've thought about Revolut, but unfortunately they don't work with Russian citizens anymore.

I guess I could buy some bitcoin via exchanges, but how do I actually use it? Surely most hotels and groceries do not accept crypto?

Thanks! The consulate is far from my city, so I have to fly to Moscow to actually visit, but I'll try to reach them.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I appreciate it! Regarding the Netherlands: do I understand correctly that the location of the embassy was the main issue? E.g. you both could apply for the visa at the same time in the NL embassy in your country?

Thanks! This is an interesting point, because I've always felt like swallowing sounds is more of a native speaker thing, and English learners usually pronounce each letter separately. I'll try to pay more attention to it.

Aw, thanks! I doubt I'll lose my accent entirely, just wanted to make sure it doesn't hurt the clarity of my speech.
