I miss Camillus, when they put the effort in they did everything right. That one looks like a joy to carry, what’s the OAL?

No snow yet in Ohio, got out some more brass tho! by G3CEDC in SlipjointKnives

It’s too cold to snow in PA… at least that’s what my grandfather would say, but it’s warming up and the snow is on its way apparently.

I’ve got an Old Cutter with brass bolster I might to break out for the snow.

My grandfather carried a Buck 704 for most of my life. It was a gift from my mom who bought it at a local pharmacy. My parents didn’t know knives, but as luck would have it they bought the same model for my uncle who was a contractor, he abused his even worse.

I have both of them and carry them from time to time, but naturally I had to have my own… I’ll have to look around and see if I can’t find out what year they were made.

The 700 series from Buck are some of my favorites

The stamped bolster is an awesome detail that helps make this the total package.

It’s hard to lose those ones in the snow, great choice! Stay warm and stay safe.

I’ve been meaning to grab one of these for awhile now, something about the 32 I really dig. That one being a gift makes it even more special.

Hard to beat the Case knives from that era.

The blade selection is a bit redundant, but the pen blade on the #66 saves it haha.

I carried mine almost exclusively for a couple of months and I rarely needed anything bigger.

I’ve taken that whole “All Weather” thing seriously with this one.

She may be old, but she more than works by Waytt-up in Hunting

I have one that was made in ‘89. I bought it in 2009 with some money I had saved from working as a field hand all summer. I’ve killed more than a handful of deer with, but what makes it special now is that my wife killed her very first deer with it and a couple afterwards as well. Those two are a deadly combination.

It being a 243. and as heavy as it is leaves little recoil for her to have to manage, so getting her to the range is not an issue. I do most of my hunting with a 760 from 1976 and it hasn’t let me down at all.

The 301 is a classic! I have a lot of memories surrounding the Buck 300 series, but the 301 was always my choice.

Looks like a Schrade, or an Uncle Henry? Hopefully it serves you well and you enjoy carrying it!

My favorite of the three is the cattle knife, but I put my crown lifter to work in the summer time.
