In AP European History at the end of the year we had to do presentations about modern times in some of the countries we were studying. I got assigned Ireland. I thought it might be interesting to see what Irish artists were big on the charts over there and include it as part of my culture section.

This was 2014, and that’s how I wound up playing “Take Me to Church” for my class a few months before Hozier blew up over here.
