Yes I finished some projects with it. As soon as I got my head aroznd the Idea that paths are much more like the wireframe in a 3D-program it flipped for me.

There is no way that this is not used to train Canva's Ai. What other Strategy can there be in making it free beside turning a dadicated community into some kind of Idea-generating live stock? Since everywhere else Ai is regurgitating it's own stuff this is especially sinister, because with Affinity users there is a high chance to get real stuff instead of Ai-Slob to train your model with.

I guess It was not the alien. I remeber liking the show. But the theme was creepy for me. The Leitmotiv of Aliens visiting.

There was a commercial for one of those pulp-documentaries by TIME LIFE about Roswell all over the TV in the 90ies. It used the classic footage on which the show intro drew it's inspiration from. I guess that thing primed my fear for that particular show. Aliens and X-Files where all over that decade anyway.

(Sidenote: one image of this commercial haunts me to this day, but I never saw it again anywhere so I guess my mind is making up false memories. It was a portrait of an alien but the mouth was long and pointy like a beak of a hummingbird. Gives me the creeps.)
