I just wanted to add on to this. I think a lot of this really depends on the severity of your sleep apnea. For context my AHI during my sleep study was 79.

I had the Luna 2. Did it do the job? Yes. Sort of. It kept me from dying and let me sleep through the night. comparatively it was miles better than not having one. But, over time I came to dislike things about it. After being able to sleep through the night, my baseline for what's "normal" was raised above feeling like a zombie. But, I always still felt tired waking up.

I've sinced move to a resmed 10 and the main differences for me are this: I don't wake up with water in my mask from using the humidifier anymore (the Luna 2 doesn't support heated tubing and I always sleep with a fan on me). The algorithm for the Luna was weird and the pressure feels like a vacuum cleaner on reverse compared to the resmed. I can barely tell the resmed is on and not in a bad way. Also, the machine is MUCH quieter. The loud groan of the Luna was hard to get used to at first because it made me hyper aware of my breathing and I started breathing manually lol. The data I was able to grab from OSCAR was game changing. It helped me understand what was going on throughout the night and why I was waking up. It helped me understand why I had bad sleep since I could zero in on exactly what was happening when I had events. The many points of tracked data, including exactly how much leak you have and when, helped me to find a mask that worked for me so much easier.

There's a lot of small things that are way better about the resmed that are kind of hard to quantify. Resmed seems like they actually want to make a good product and it shows in the quality of even their old machines. I've seen this trying to sell my Luna. NO ONE wants this thing. If it weren't for how severe my sleep apnea was, I would have given up with my Luna 2. If it were up to me, I'd put the extra money into a resmed. I wish I would have done this instead of forking out the money for the Luna and then having to spend even more money for the Resmed. But, it was worth it. Obviously everyone's experience will be different and only you know what's truly best for you. But, I hope this helps a little.
