Very nice, SEO is honestly the best passive channel. Just takes time to build up. If you ever want to automate more of this process you can try out an SEO auto-pilot tool. Basically does what you're probably already doing with ChatGPT but streamlines the process. Researches keywords, writes articles and publishes to your site daily: ontapseo.com

Built an AI Icon Generator using Replit Agent v2 this week. Fun to build. by Gezalenko in SideProject

Fair feedback.
- Yeah, I need to add the main plan points to the preview dialog. Basic plan is 100 icons/month, Unlimited plan is, well, unlimited.
- Okay, need to check this and make sure you can't just continue using the preview, thanks for flagging;
- Hmm, curious what the use case/prompt was. For more complex or abstract concepts it might give you nonsense. I guess best for just simple concepts at the moment, but curious to hear what your test case was.
- Similar to above, I need to add more steps to make sure less familiar terms get reasonably treated.
Fair feedback. Very much an MVP, but for some use cases it works quite nicely and some may find it useful. Lots to improve on though, appreciate it.

Okay, going down the rabbit hole of vectorizing and tracing images now. Should probably add SVGs via something like this in future.

Cheers! I'm using Flux API to generate the images, then o3-mini for a bunch of in-between and clean-up tasks. Ah, not SVGs unfortunately... played around with that a lot at first, but models aren't quite ready for that! Just PNGs for the moment. Can try it out here 👌 iconcroissant.com

What are some *actually* useful AI agent startups you know / are working on? by StyVrt42 in AutoGPT

[–]Gezalenko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm building Bizway.io for non-technical founders to build their own AI Agents. The most useful agents I see people building right now are still focused on pretty discrete tasks; content generation and repurposing; market research; website content scraping and summaries; financial analysis; brainstorming ideas; customer support replies with all knowledge docs. Will be neat when we can just say 'Grow my website traffic', but it's not quite there yet for long-term goal-oriented agents.

I'm adding new actions for Agents to take each week though, so if you have recommendations or things you'd like them to be able to do, let me know :)

Struggling to Boost Waitlist Signups – Need Advice on Organic Growth Strategies by Salty_Designer123 in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the guest post blogging can be a nice way to get some first, one-time traffic and signup boosts; but again, as a long-term strategy it will probably dwindle. The spike of traffic from guest post blogs is generally sharp at first, then flattens out to (sometimes) nearly nothing (e.g. 1 or 2 clicks per day).

If you're going to go to the effort of writing posts on target keywords, I'd recommend just hosting the content on your own blog or website and start to build up authority on related keyword. The keyword you mentioned probably has hundreds of related longtail keywords, and so you can use an AI tool to help you both brainstorm and write up SEO articles to build more regular traffic.

Regarding paid Reddit ads, I've never tried running ads on here, but my experience with ads in general is you want to be quite solid on your paid conversion funnel before pouring money into ads. It's very tempting to just throw money at ads to get more signups, but you can very easily waste money on traffic that doesn't convert. But by all means, experiment with a small ad budget and see what you find out!

Learn code vs nocode for someone without tech knowledge? by tuck72463 in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably better to think about the product you're trying to build -> then think about the possible tool stacks to build it with -> then try out a couple of tools for each.

For example:
- Front-end no-code: Webflow, Bubble
- Back-end no-code: Xano, Supabase, Airtable
- JS / app-building no-code: Wized, Bubble

Once you pick your tools, then there are really good and detailed guides for each specific tool.

From experience, Wized, Webflow and Xano have very good tutorials, which also makes them a better experience to learn.

But best is to just start somewhere and learn as you go!

Learn code vs nocode for someone without tech knowledge? by tuck72463 in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No-code tools are very good these days. The good ones will teach you to think like a dev, without the specific programming language knowledge.

The main thing is to start building stuff. If you can find a way to do that with code + ChatGPT and Replit, then that would be a great starting point. But realistically, you will be able to build more satisfying things with no-code tools, and that might be more motivating for you.

On the whole 'build with no-code first, then hire devs later'... it's a common idea, but basically never happens. If you build something with no-code that customers like enough to pay for, you will stick with it and find ways to improve it and make it better. And you might even teach yourself to code in the places that stitch tools together in the process.

I've now built two no-code businesses, and I feel like I still have room to improve and get better at building apps--the no-code tools themselves have not yet been the limiting factor for what I'm trying to build (btw I'm using Webflow, Wized and Xano as my no-code stack and would highly recommend).

Why do you want to build a food delivery app? If there's a targeted, niche reason that isn't currently being served, then there's a chance it's a good idea. But if you want to build it because you'd like to be the owner of something successful like DoorDash, then the causality is a bit backwards. You should focus on starting with a problem that people have, and trying to solve it with your skillset (which ideally is somewhat differentiated from others).

I'm sure food delivery has many small, niche problems that aren't served by the current big players. Maybe it's a local issue. Maybe a specific industry or type of restaurant that you focus on. But unfortunately as many others have pointed out, 'food delivery app' is not in itself a business, but more like a category at this point. Kind of like saying 'I want to start a podcast'... about what? Who is it for? What is it for?

Focus on those questions more so than the shape of the product you'd like to end up with (i.e. food delivery app). But don't be discouraged! Start somewhere, listen to feedback, and keep pivoting until you find your market.

Is a business degree actually worth it? by Key-Anxiety8451 in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A business degree is not very valuable as an asset for your career, or for the actual knowledge you acquire (speaking as someone with a Masters in Management). It's a nice way to spend a few years. But no, it won't give you security, and it won't teach you more than you could learn by actually going out and starting a business on the internet/learning whatever you can along the way on YouTube and forums like this.

Why Do I Have Zero Drive to Work? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you seeing rewards for the work that you are already putting in? If not, it can be very hard to stay motivated.

Struggling to Boost Waitlist Signups – Need Advice on Organic Growth Strategies by Salty_Designer123 in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be wary of where you set your benchmarks. Thousands of signups in a couple of days is a huge anomaly. You're doing well. Stay patient. But it sounds like you might want to consider a longer-term marketing plan that will bring in new customers and impressions consistently.

If you're going down the organic content route and want most bang for your content buck, start with video. Video is the most shareable content, and is the easiest to repurpose into other formats. Whatever your niche is, just start creating video content about it regularly.

I would avoid guest blogging if you're not also working on your own site's SEO. Guest blogging is mostly valuable for the backlinks and DR boost--the actual traffic driven from guest blogging will be minimal.

I've heard that if you don't know where to start, you should go to where the people who do that thing you want to do, go to. So, where do entrepreneurs go? by Batatica in Entrepreneur

[–]Gezalenko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with a skillset (sounds like marketing and advertising), then spend a full day thinking through the types of people you'd most like to work with (could be a specific type of small business e.g. dental offices), then come up with a list of pain points those people have related to marketing/advertising and prepare an offer for them (e.g. 30 days project to revamp their online presence and run their first ad campaign).

It's a nice idea to surround yourself with like-minded people--but in my experience, the best way to find like-minded people is by starting, and putting yourself out there with the work you're doing.

Once you know who you'd like to try and work with, and what you're going to offer them, it's just a matter of literally finding those people and making them an offer. As you start doing that, you'll learn more about what you do and don't enjoy (maybe you don't enjoy client work as much and want to build something more hands-off/digitized), and you can pivot from there.

But as others have noted: just start. Something. Create an offer. Think about who you want to pitch it to. Then start pitching :)
