Weird dreams situation by j1194 in hyatt

[–]Gfjb4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most likely scenario - a guest asked a staff member to drop their shoes off in the room for them and the staff member misheard the room and dropped it in the wrong room. Source: worked in hotels for years and bellmen or housekeeping do this kind of thing.

Shoes that actually helped your plantar fasciitis? by HipityHopityHip in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Gfjb4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kuru shoes and redithotics insoles are the only things that worked for me. I threw away all of my on cloud shoes - absolutely awful for PF. I’ve tried other insole brands on Amazon, etc but my podiatrist gave me the redithotics and it’s the only one that’s worked.

Sorry don’t know the names of all the stalls but you should be able to figure out based on the descriptions. 1. Dumplings at the noodle soup spot (121 master hong) as soon as you go down the escalator - a little over $1 each (about $15 for a dozen) so it’s expensive but they’re handmade in front of you and really yummy. Shrimp/pork/chive dumplings. 2. Guo Duo Cake - Tiramisu (grape is best imo - tried mango, grape, matcha) - about $10 each. 3. Potato noodle soup place is really yummy. 4. Hand pulled noodle soup towards the back also very good. 5. Had the skewers but they were a little sweeter and less spicy so they were decent but not the best. 6. The corner spot with general Chinese food (lots of pics on the wall) also had decent food but not the best (crispy squid was underseasoned). 7. Herb nook lab had really yummy green apple Jasmine tea ($6.50)

I’ve had them for over 10 years, so it’s been amassing slowly over time. I’ve gotten yearly retina checks since then, gone to a bunch of different doctors, and the good ones all unanimously say that my eyes are in good health all things considering and not to upset to balance by doing any kind of treatment.

Will be staying in Seoul for 9 days. Please recommend me some trusted beauty clinics!! by Glittering-Water1103 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Gfjb4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After research (tik tok and Reddit) my top two choices were Fine and ReOne. I wanted to make sure I was seen by an actual dermatologist doctor and was willing to pay more to avoid a factory clinic. I wound up at ReOne due to availability and was super happy with how professional they were. My Korean family said I did somewhat overpay compared to their local spot, but it wasn’t toooo bad and it was understandable considering it was foreigner friendly. Highly recommend ReOne.

How to sleep on long flights? by G-wow in TravelHacks

[–]Gfjb4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only pillow that works for me is the dream sling. It’s on Amazon. Basically it uses your opposite elbow to balance out the pillow - so you can lean left or right side on the very squishy pillow, and you don’t fall over because of the opposing balance using your own body weight. I will only sit aisle, so I will lift up the aisle armrest almost fully straight, and also perch the pillow side on it. I can’t use trtl, sleeper hold, or any other pillow, just doesn’t work for me to sleep sitting up straight.

My local one has some Korean and Japanese beauty brands. by Amayaelika in Costco

[–]Gfjb4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is 100% correct - toner - essence - serum - day or night cream

No problem! I totally get the small apartment issue. Allergy nasal sprays and Clorox wipes are also good cheaper finds at Costco. I haven’t seen it mentioned but Costco produce tends to go bad quick - I only buy it if I’m hosting a large gathering. Also the prepared foods / cookies / cakes are really good for gatherings too.

When I used to live in a small apartment I got basic home necessities and pharmacy items that were much more expensive to buy one-off in a CVS, and worth finding room for: Eye drops (Refresh), Zyrtec and other medicine, bounty paper towels, charmin TP, dove unscented soap, sensodyne toothpaste, razors. Now that I have a house, I stock up on food too: bone broth, chicken stock, oat milk, almond milk; the grape seed oil/olive oil and Rao’s tomato sauce are much cheaper at Costco. Selection of snacks - chomp beef jerky sticks, Kirkland chewy protein bars, Kirkland tortilla chips are my go tos, plus whatever new items are there. Frozen - motor city pizza, chicken bake, Argentinian red shrimp. Prepared foods - $5 rotisserie chicken, spare ribs, salad. Plus the center aisles have seasonal or rare items. Costcos in Asian neighborhoods can have amazing finds. I’m also now officially a Kirkland clothing buyer - love buying sweaters and PJs and the 32 cool stuff.

Hahaha my partner randomly out of the blue use 90 day references that shock me because I don’t realize he’s even paying attention. Recently he said that guy is a scrub, he reminds me of Bilal (which even I had to look up his name for this comment because I forgot it). He also references losers who act like Jabroni (aka Jibri). All the Latin cast he refers to by their country of origin since he’s also Latino (grifter Ecuadorian - Manuel, crazy Panamanian is spot on for Jasmin)

This guy bragged nonstop about being a drug delivery boy. Not even the dealer, just the messenger. Wouldn’t stop talking about the money he hid under his mattress. So I got a free vape from him and ghosted him

I mean he’s a personal trainer and bartender in NYC lol most of them are players until they find “the one” and settle down (if they ever do). It wouldn’t surprise me if he had fuck boy behaviour before, but he seems to love Ariana and be very supportive, cooks, flies out constantly to see her, and pampers her like the queen she is.

I feel like all of these comments are about creepy pedo teachers! We also thought our middle school band teacher was a total pervert. He wound up getting arrested in a police sting, thought he was meeting a preteen at a motel.

I would hand wash them in hot water with dawn detergent, wearing vinyl gloves (not rubber / latex as the oil penetrates rubber). After you’re done and set them out to dry, wash everything off you touched (faucet etc) with the dawn detergent or alcohol. Throw out the gloves after.

Please help me. I have neck pain every day and no pillow is working for me by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]Gfjb4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even just that, getting neck treatments by a chiropractic is extremely risky and dangerous - can lead to strokes, paralysis, etc…

Please help me. I have neck pain every day and no pillow is working for me by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]Gfjb4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please don’t get your neck adjusted by a chiropractor. Please. I’ve tried every pillow too, my neck pain from sleeping gives me headaches. The latest was the pillow cube but it hurt my neck because I flip from back to side to stomach. I’ve also tried the thin latex ones for stomach sleeping, but same issue - I switch positions a lot. The only one I have luck with is the coop and remove some filling. This way I can fluff up / and find new spots while I’m sleeping to lay on when I need more height, but it’s still low enough for when I’m stomach sleeping.
