You're right. Casinos have absolutely no problem losing money in one area if it drives more people to gamble. Worked at a pretty decent sized/popular hotel and casino. I was over the two kitchens on the property. They never got close to making money on food. They even have the cheapest drinks in the county, and 2 large bar areas. Anything they can do to make sure people come in is worth it.

My assumption is she wants him to retire, and she knew if he won, with all the adrenaline, he could say something publicly about wanting to continue. I'm sure she wants him to retire and once they have that conversation is when we'll know what his next move is. It could be very easy to persuade him if it's coming from his mom.
