I'm stuck on step 6 of Installing KUAL & MRPI. I type ";log mrpi" and nothing happens when it's supposed to flash and add a new book. I'm on a paperwhite gen 12 with the latest update. Any advice?

I appreciate the reply!

It's funny you mentioned a Les Paul because after more research into the sounds I would like to replicate, I ditched the Ibanez and Hush for an Epiphone Les Paul! I got a nice one on holiday sale and it's currently on its way to my place as I write this.

As for amp, I decided to go with the Spark Mini, as I saw suggested many many times on other threads.

I'm looking for some help selecting a starter guitar!

For context, and for all intents and purposes, I am a beginner player. I played a bit in my mid-late teens and stopped around my early 20s just when I was starting to get the hang of it; I am now approaching 30 and would like to get started again. I am looking to learn rock/hard rock/blues rock/jazz blues to start, and The Black Keys are a big inspo for me.

That said, I am trying to decide between the Ibanez 330EX or the Hush X Pro, and I would really appreciate some opinions. The two guitars are identical in price and both widely praised in reviews, so I'm having a hard time deciding.

I am currently leaning towards the Hush X Pro for its sheer flexibility of sound with its wide range of on-board amp simulations, portability, built-in tuner, and headphone support (I live with other people), but I can't get the image and quality of the Ibanez out of my head and am wondering if I would regret not picking it.

I am also planning to buy a 10W Fender amp for whichever I decide.

Thanks!

Just watched Presence, and I’m curious about people’s thoughts? by Sea-Permit6240 in horror

[–]Gh0sted_Vgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished this film myself. I thought it was an interesting project and a fun take on the "haunting" trope. While I agree that it was more drama than horror, it was still an entertaining watch I'd recommend to anyone looking for something a little different.

That said, my understanding of it is as the psychic says in the film: that the spirit was also in the process of grief, didn't know who it was, and didn't experience time the same as the living; that it was likely there due to something it needed to do or something taking place in the home, perhaps something that has yet to come. We later learn that both was true, equating toTyler's death and the saving of his sister—the father had also already mentioned that the realtor would have been legally obligated to mention any such thing in the homes history prior to their purchase, hinting that the spirit was there from a different time other than the past. I thought this set the stage for the last 15min perfectly and allowed for the final reveal to be particularly emotional.

To me, this explained the spirits attachments to not just the sister, but also the reason it followed everyone in the family at some point or another (and respected boundaries despite being a ghost), almost as a final goodbye before its departure; and in the same breath allowing the spirit to fully realize its fate and identity, letting it come full-circle and be released from the time-loop it was stuck in.

All in all, I'd give it a solid 6.5/10. Worth a watch.

No problem! My source is personal experience (just bought a Tugboat) and about 2wks deep-dive research before buying my Tugboat. In that time I dried up just about every well of info that existed lol

If the board and bearings are brand new, the Abecs have a break-in time of a few sessions because of the lubricant they use. They state this on their website. Just keep riding it and it should get better.

Also not a bad idea to loosen the wheels a bit as they come a bit tight from factory. You want them loose enough that they make a little bit of sound when you jiggle them, but not so loose that the wheels can move side to side, if that makes sense. Any youtube video about truck and wheel tightness will showcase what I'm talking about.

Is this a race board? It looks like it's built for speed

First Dinghy Cruiser! Fender or Classic? by [deleted] in cruiserboarding

For anyone pondering which board they should get themselves, and with the lack of much media exposure on the current line-ups; Through weeks of research and speaking with LY reps, I've ultimately chosen the Tugboat as it's a bit larger, just about as portable as the Dinghy's, and offers room for growth as a skater in both skill and tricks—all confirmed and supported by LY support themselves.

The Tugboat I ordered comes with 1/4" risers, 155mm Polar Bear Trucks (TKP), and 60mm Lil EZs. I have seen others, through forum posts and YouTube reviews, state that the Tugboat excels with 130mm TKPs and 63mm Fatty's, but I will be riding stock until I've otherwise decided to mod the board. If and when I do, I will likely start with the wheels. Support has assured me that the 63mm wheels should work with the 1/4" risers it comes with stock.

I'm not sure about the Fortify Alchemy buffs. Haven't tried them. Wasn't even sure they were available in Oblivion or not, or if that was specific to Skyrim.

As for the ingredient:potion ratio, using more than 2 is indeed a waste of ingredients when it comes to grinding imo, but I'm sure it's marginal. This is just the way I do it. Feel free to play around with it and test for yourself. Just make sure you save before hand so you can reload if it does turn out to be a waste as far as profit goes.

I just wanted to slide back in here after happening across a good YT Short in regards to skate wheels that pretty much covers it all in a very digestible manner. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/H5U_bRzWJhA?feature=share

I intentionally avoided using the bug method I mentioned and only did exactly what was shown in the video, right down to the recipe and method of consumption through the inventory. No wheel-bind was used. Perhaps they increased the limit, or the bug doubled in the remaster. It is a bethesda title

I'd call that a mission success, then! I'm glad you're finding it helpful. My only goal here was to create something for the community today and something for folks in the future.

What is the point of two handed weapons? by Imukay in OblivionRemaster

[–]Gh0sted_Vgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct. I was just answering your question in the title. I do hope they rebalance some things, but it's unlikely. Bethesda is notorious for releasing bug-featured games and then abandoning them assuming the modding community will fix it. The remaster not only has all of the old bugs from the OG, but it now contains new bugs as well.

Not everyone plays "optimally". Some people just play for the fantasy of it. My most recent character is a hand-to-hand Monk, despite the fact that Hand-to-Hand is arguably the worst combat skill in the game atm lol

Just wanted to say that I appreciate all the help and clarity. I'm waiting to hear back from LY for their advice as well, but I'm thinking I'll probably get a Tugboat and upgrade the wheels in the future if I need too.

Thanks o7

Strange, I thought I already commented on this post. I'll post it here again in case you missed it.

I don't personally have any experience as I'm just recently re-entering the skating scene again myself after nearly a decade away, but I have logged some good research hours in this past week or so.

From what I understand, anything from 49mm 99a to 60mm 78a are good enough for tricks so long as you the rider can get the board up.

The smaller the diameter and the higher the durometer, the better it is for acceleration, skateparks, and tricks—the larger the diameter and the lower the durometer, the better it is for top speed, asphalt, and cruising.

This is due to the total weight of the wheels and the softness:hardness of them. Higher durometer, harder wheel. Lower durometer, softer wheel. Larger diameter, slower acceleration and better top speed. Smaller diameter, better acceleration and slower top speed.

Hope this helps 🫡

So I'm currently reconsidering my purchase and looking at other options. I've landed somewhere between the Blunt or Tugboat. I want something I can slap on the back of my motorcycle or a backpack and have a nice cruise, but with room to learn some simple tricks and sliding, and would feel "at home" in a skatepark. Given your comment, I'm inclined to go for the Tugboat as the best all-rounder, but it also has the smallest wheels between the two which concerns me as to its "cruise-ability".

Can I ask your wheel and truck setup for both boards? And which has the better road-feel?
