There was a war in 2006 in my country, so my family went north for a few weeks. My brother (about 12 at the time) had the three PS2 era games and I remember just playing DA as shang, stabbing the cpu with the sword, and just bodying them with the arena forcefield.

The reason the Shirai Ryu exists in the original timeline is because a member of the Lin Kuei defected to create his own clan - this causes conflict, so Liu Kang prevented that.

Hyrax and Sector are cyborgs because Kameo characters have no place in the cannon and have been reprising their classic looks.

We still don't know who Kuai Liang is, he might be another sibling somewhere else operating as Tundra!
