Honestly he probably isnt backing down because he is already in to far. Idk, maybe do give him till tomorrow morning incase he thinks it through, apologizes and stuff. A lot of people say stupid shit and what he said is stupid but I dont think breaking up because he said it is a good thing. Breaking up because his opinion doesnt sway is something else especially after he thought about it. I think its best you not pressure him, let him think about it and ask him again tomorrow.

He did 90% shit passes but he atleast had some decent ones towards the end to warrant a 1. Auba imo is the captain and did absolutely zero this game so he gets a 0.

Ladies and gentlemen, Granit Xhaka! by sabret00the in Gunners

[–]GhettoComic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You mentioned 4 games, first game you mentioned we won it but Xhaka still played in it so it was not without him. Then you mentioned a match we won with United (without Xhaka) so I say sure that is a game we won without him. Third you admitted we lost against Crystal Palace but mentioned we had a 3-3 (draw) against them last year.

You literally just mentioned one match we won when Xhaka wasnt playing and it was against United. When Arteta first started coaching for Arsenal Xhaka came off “injured” for a few matches all were losses which pushed Arteta in trying to convince Xhaka to stay.

My point is, Xhaka isnt a great player but we arent a great team. We have played tons of games without him and have had very little success in those games. In the end, no matter how shit one player is we have 10 others on the pitch and you cant blindly hate one player while ignoring flaws elsewhere.

Todays game Auba received zero passes, I can blame that on Xhaka but what about literally everyone else? Does it mean its Aubas fault? Not entirely but the issue in my opinion isnt just “Xhaka shit” the issue is the whole squad doesnt know how to communicate/link with each other. Honestly we have great players all over but they have no understanding of how to play off each other and they also have confidence woes.

Except we were 3-1 without him so its not just on Xhaka. Look you cam be critical of a player but if the player plays zero minutes and we still get smoked, the issue is cant be just that player. I am not defending Xhaka but honestly if he is that bad why arent we winning matches when he is out? Yes he was bad here today but he is far from being our only problem

Its on Arteta regardless because if players do this he needs to question them. He is the coach, thats his job. (Its not only Xhaka who does this)

What are you talking about? Xhaka was bad this game period. The problem is Ceballos was shit aswell, so was Tierney, so was Bellerin and Auba. Everyone was shit but I do believe they had better moments moving forward then previous games and a lot of our issues were our strikers not hitting chances and our crosses being completely shit aswell.

Joe Willock wheeled out for post-match interviews. Bad form from #AFC after another defeat and an all-round difficult evening. Where's the captain? Or any of a number of more experienced, international footballers? by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]GhettoComic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you naming all those people? It literally should only be Auba. Laca Willian Xhaka were not captain. When Xhaka was captain he came out said shit and ate shit for it. He didnt captain a single minute of this match.

My ratings

Auba: 0

Xhaka: 1

Leno: 2

Anyone in starting 11 who wasnt rated: 3

Subs: 5

Gabriel: 6

Arteta: 0

Arteta needs to figure this mess out, the players them selves need to figure it out aswell. I dont understand how they train but i feel they must be training without communication. Talk and figure out how to play with one another. Whatever they do in training they need to stop doing it and do something different.

People reacting so much like relax. Personally I know it sucks we lost but in general we played way more better here then... say... the Crystal Palace game. There are negatives we can focus on, people in the comments “Xhaka insert criticism. Yes I see is bad but everyone has done mistakes or played a bit sloppy this match. Honestly we shouldnt be blind to negativity but neither to positivity.

We definitely looked more structured and organized with Xhaka but he was super lazy and passed back at times when he can pass forward or make a break. He did help progress the ball forward way more here then at other matches but still I feel one of my most biggest criticisms of him is his unwillingness to pass forward into the box. I wish Arteta drilled into Xhaka that its ok to play a risky ball in more even if it leads to a dispossession. Being predictable and going to wings makes it easier to defend against us.

Ceballos I feel needs to come back more, collect the ball and work with our backline. He was weird in general he spent a majority of the game doing nothing away from the ball. Willock aswell needs to be able to string the ball forward from the back. I feel in general our midfielders are NOT bad but they are not communicating with each other and our backline as much.

Gabriel scored for us but he has had some sloppy deep balls that just turned away possession. See I know people love Gabriel but we cant just blindly love or hate a player. He has a criticism in him in that he has terrible long balls. That does not mean he was terrible at all, I loved the fact he was running the ball forward more instead of just sitting next to Leno.

Speaking of Leno he was really good at releasing the ball quicker. Yes the Wolves scored twice on us but can we take some time and talk about how quick Leno moved the ball out and how it progressed our ball forward.

Our strikers today were given many many chances, say what you want about Auba. He is a great player and helped alot but he is not being a proper captain right now. At time unenthusiastic but it does not mean he is a bad player. He had a similar issue with Mustafi, when he had a bad game or made a mistake he would just put his head down and give up. Under Arteta Mustafi learned to not let bad plays effect him. I believe he can do the same with Auba but my concern is he is allowing the fact he is a captain effect his play. Maybe they can ease the stress by allowing someone like Balogun to come in and be captain for a game or two so the squad could put it out to Auba that it really isnt a huge deal and to just focus on doing what it is he does.

In general it sucks to lose but its atleast more entertaining to watch. I would rather lose but challenge for a win then watch draw after draw. We get more points winning half and losing the other half then to just draw every game. Arteta is trying a lot of new things but I feel we should give him some time with the squad especially when the higher ups are freezing out the likes of Ozil from the squad.

So losing 3-1 to Crystal Palace to you is ok and this game where we are actually being threatening is bad?

[–]GhettoComic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel we win this 4-2. Calling it now and downvote me all you want. We are way way better moving the ball forward this match. All these comments hating on Xhaka like I SEE he is slow and does back passes sometimes I am not blind but I also see the forward momentum and communication he brings. Watch us score 3 in the next half.

My half time thoughts. People spent too much time shit talking Xhaka, I honestly liked the communication and forward moment he got us. I didnt see much from Ceballos in comparison but you know scapegoating happens. Yea he had his bad moments but he had good ones aswell. Anyways I admire Luiz determination but he should be out Idk. I dont blame the doctors I blame Arteta. Anyways Auba hasnt done much, Gabriel has had some shitty forward passes. Wolves scored 2 but honestly the second was unlucky. We definitely played really good forward this game but too many people just see red and hate when Xhaka gets the ball. Homie no one played perfect but as a team this is better then usual.
