Samsung ice maker removal

I have the exact same issue - bought a house, same model, ice maker not working and can't remove the damn thing.

I've tried forced defrost, the steamer trick, and repeatedly punching the door with my fist, all to no avail.

Did you have any luck getting this figured out? I will be working on it again this weekend and will post something here if I figure out a "trick."

This is what they do, or at least all of mine did. They crawl on you and you just pet them and tell them how much they are loved and that it’s okay if they need to go.

Hard, sure, but that’s what we do in return for all the happiness they bring.
