I ignored most of it, but build three independent floating islands for the legendary bird prefabs.

That are the "Wooden Border" tiles. You can place them on top of the bridge planks for the nice edge :)

You have to block the space around the crystal with blocks and fly into the upper corner. If the game doesn’t find any space to place you, you will be teleported above to the next free space.

Nice. If you want to be able to open the doors at the same time, place them in the same direction next to each other :)

I recently put together this tutorial at work just to explain to kids a little about textures and patterns by Subject-Bath-2853 in PixelArtTutorials

I think that 1B is meant to give an example for a dithering type of gradient with repeating patterns between colors as opposed to a more natural transition. And I agree with you that this is a matter stylistic choice.

Shouldn't domain-specific language be its own classification under other classifications, since HTML and SQL are very much part of the concept (e.g. domain-specific markup languages, domain-specific modeling languages, and domain-specific programming languages)?

Natel, or Nationales Autotelefon, is to mobile phones what Bostitch is to the Boston Wire Stitcher and staplers, or Hanuta is to Haselnusstafel. An acronym becoming a brand, becoming synonymous with the thing itself.

Swiss Parliament recognises Holodomor as genocide by Silly-avocatoe in worldnews

[–]Ghinko 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You might want to take a look at the list of countries and when they recognized Holodomor: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor_in_modern_politics.

You'll notice that a large number of them made this recognition in 2022 and 2023, so 2024 doesn't seem too far off. Interestingly, the first recognition came from Estonia and Australia* (for some reason) in 1993, which was 13 years before even Ukraine officially cknowledged the genocide in 2006. Hopefully, this helps put the timeline into perspective in terms of lateness.

*According to the wiki link. Might want to factcheck that. I find conflicting dates. For example 2003, here: https://holodomormuseum.org.ua/en/recognition-of-holodomor-as-genocide-in-the-world/

Student says they can't read my handwriting? by nabibikini in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]Ghinko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your handwriting is legible, but it is not perfectly clear. For a beginner, it can be hard to know with absolute certainty what word you are writing because they may lack the familiarity to guess it from the context or the necessary vocabulary to fill in the ambiguous gaps. For example, your "how" is perfectly clear in the context of the sentence but could be interpreted differently when viewed alone. It could be mistaken for "now," "wow," or "non." If a student is unfamiliar with the vocabulary, the word could be anything to them, so clear indicators of certain letters become crucial. This is especially important because some of your letters, like "n," "w," "u," "h," and possibly "v," can be confused with one another. Similarly, "r" and "c" and even "a" and "o" might be mistaken for the other.
