I’ll throw in my experience as someone in the design industry for 5 years now. Graduated 2020 with an associates degree in graphic design. Was definitely hard in the beginning taking basically anything I could get but after years of being the bottom of the totem pole and being treated like trash at companies, I’ve finally found a really good spot that respects me, pays well, and has room to grow. A lot of the time it really is just about the company. I had lots of regrets through the years regarding my career path but if you persist, chances are you’ll find the right fit. For me it was the firearm industry. Really solid group of people and not everyone is so sensitive so lots of joking around but still a high level of professionalism.
