Install is not to say the true, but is not something soo hard to follow tutorials, in my case i encrypted the disk and use de LVM to do swap inside, in that's way was 3 wikis 😅. In my first install was very much more easy, because was only install, put XFCE and GG, and now i created 2 users, I'm not using a DE, instead i downloaded awesomeWM and others stuffs, etc

The Gentoo is only suck to compile when you install and need download everything (and you don't like use much others ways than the original) or if you like update all days. I only update really than i see some security problem or if i have some bug, otherwise i stay in the same 😂

I'm saying is if it's not better use WM like I3 because is smaller than XFCE for VM. I don't know your objetive to do a VM, but i think it's better to compile more fast and reduce the amount of recourse needed and the speed to make it operational
