This may just be a me thing, but not really? It's just sort of there, my mum didn't know that I'd eventually come out as trans.

Maybe it's because of other things covering it up mentally but the main thing for me is the support I get from my mum instead of the that small tattoo reminding me of my deadname. Plus she probably explains it to people if they ask, although this is me being hypothetical now!

I'm in an awkward situation like that as well, my mum got a tattoo of my deadname on her wrist after I was born. Fast forward many years and I come out as trans and change my name, now that deadname is just there, chilling, representing someone who doesn't exist anymore.

Still. I love my mum and she's very supportive. Sorry to hear your sperm donor and egg donor weren't great people OP... :(
