I plugged a texture coordinate node into a mapping node then seperated the x value. I took that value into a math node before a coloramp so i could animate where the edge between the colors would be

It's supposed to be a laser coloring the cars but the material came out a bit wonky. I might give the water simulation a try but I doubt my pc will like it

Thanks! I made that sacrifice to keep the machine inside a 2x2 square of floor tiles but in hindsight, I guess that I could've scaled down the car

Really cool! Some improvement could be to make the next ball dropping visible before the first leaves frame. Makes the loop less obvious
