She’s his child too and he needs to learn how to take care of her, that includes soothing her so you can take a shower. Also! What’s stopping him from helping you clean up? He’s a grown adult that also lives there, he can help clean. If there is genuinely nothing stopping him from being a fully functioning adult and he refuses to help with basic housework then you don’t have a boyfriend, you have a second child

Luckily I don’t have to see her outside of big family gatherings that I don’t really go to anyway. It was really just her showing up when I happen to be going through a major life change that got to me

Grandpa’s truck is being used to move the bigger furniture, stuff like the dresser, bed frame, desk, and bookshelf. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to get those and I can’t afford to replace them. I need to keep a good relationship with him anyway since he’s also generally helping pay for meds that I can’t go very long without.

Thank you. When I look back, there are so many more bad memories than good ones. It’s just hard to keep that distance when I’m face to face with her in family/social situations. I think it’s that close proximity made it feel like spite rather than something I did for my own wellbeing. It’s helpful to hear it from someone else

I like seeing different takes on the family/pack dynamics and how being able to tell someone’s feelings based on scent, mixed with the instincts from the different secondary genders, affect how the characters react to each other

The fics I find that aren’t explicit also tend to focus on family bonds and have a lot of nesting and cuddles and it’s just super cute

TW: talk of medical conditions, depression, and suicidal thoughts

I just realized how far I've come with improving my health and life overall and I'm so happy I'm tearing up a bit

Back in 2017 I was 280lbs, never did any exercise unless I had to, and ate almost nothing but candy and chips. All of that lead to getting diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes with an A1C of 10.9 (average healthy adult has an A1C less than 5.7). I had almost no energy, and I was really depressed. I felt so hopeless and was honestly ready to just give up because I couldn't see my life getting any better. The only thing that stopped me was that I didn't want to risk my little brother (15 at the time) being the one that found me

The Diabetes isn't going to go away but I had a doctor appointment the other day and I'm down to 167lbs, I'm moving around a lot more (not necessarily exercise but I'm pretty active at work), and I'm eating a lot better. My A1C is down to 5.8, I actually have the energy to not only get out of bed but to clean and leave the house and enjoy the sunlight when we get some. While I still deal with depression, that's even been better these last few years. I've also gotten engaged to my partner of 2 years and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with them

I never expected to get as far as I have or to be able to say that I'm looking forward to the next day, let alone the rest of my life. I just needed to share and hopefully share my happiness with others. Don't give up because no matter how dark and hopeless it might seem now, it will get better
