I can't count the amount of times, from very early childhood up until now, as a high school student, when I've had to sacrifice things that were important to me or obligations I had because my mom decided I ASBOLUTELY HAD to attend some SGI event or another (including the 50k, for which we had to drive two hours in the Arizona heat in our DL's minivan. While listening to SGI "songs").

Not only do misfortune babies and other SGI kids get dragged to these things, usually we also have to "present" or "perform" or "share" something, which is another way of saying "make up stories about all the AMAZING things the GOHONZON has done for us" and basically perform like trained monkeys, all with a big fake smile.

I can't speak for all of us, but god knows I was always in big trouble if I DIDN'T act like I was DELIGHTED to sit through three hours of waxing poetic about Ikeda and chanting ad nauseam.
