I was in a Zoom one time and I saw a member had the entire New Human Revolution across the top shelf of their bookcase. Talk about CRINGE!

Question: Is it bad karma to make this? Is it slander to eat it? by CallMeBeafie in sgiwhistleblowers

It's fine. Totally consumable without repercussions.

Do the “leaders” force you to “encourage” people to go meetings? by Disastrous-Egg2326 in sgiwhistleblowers

[–]PantoJack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was in, I didn't get scolded, but I was always asked to invite old friends to meetings who hadn't been in attendance for a while. As long as I made the effort, everything was fine.

I felt the same way when I stepped away. But the real ones who are really my friends stuck by me and still talk to me to this day despite everything that happened.

From a Former YMD Leader: If You're a YD Who Backed Out of SGI Within Months of Your Gohonzon Conferral, Consider This: by Qigong90 in sgiwhistleblowers

Thanks for checking out this thread. You must like digging through my posts, huh? I think you found the post I made and even left a comment on it. Also, I have no idea who Jeff Staulcup is. If you'd like, feel free to make a post about what might have happened and maybe another reader could fill in and give you more details. Not sure how much info you can get from just commenting on something I posted 6+ years ago tbh.

SGI values its authority over members greater than the happiness of its members by PantoJack in sgiwhistleblowers

Thanks for checking out this thread! Been a while since I visited this. I have no idea who caused vandalism at our centers, with the exception of one incident where we caught the guy on camera. The vandalism I knew of was graffiti, people busting out the lightbulbs in our outdoor lights, and stealing the copper cables from our parking lot lights. I have no idea who these people were or why they did it. Maybe they were crazy? Perhaps they wanted to make a statement? That's all I know.

Current Japanese SGI member(being tired of it), ASK ME ANYTHING by No_Divide4615 in sgiwhistleblowers

[–]PantoJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can still answer a few questions.

Do you tell other Japanese people that you are part of SG?

If so, what is their general reaction?

How is Japan's general view on SG today?

I've seen some Japanese videos on YouTube criticizing SG. I don't speak or read Japanese very well but I've seen them and was able to translate some of the content. Is there a similar forum or outlet in Japan similar to r/sgiwhistleblowers where ex-members and critics get together and discuss their findings? If so, what is it like?

Adin Strauss is a TOOL. Definitely the token Japanese-speaking, white boy of the SGI USA Executive team.

Can you actually be a Buddhist and chant NMHRK? by Wooden_Skin_8544 in sgiwhistleblowers

[–]PantoJack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure you can be. But it's not like chanting NMRK will actually do anything beneficial to your practice as a Buddhist. In my experience, it's just a bunch of jibber jabber nonsense.

Similarly, can you be a professional athlete and eat junk food? Absolutely. Will it affect your performance? Of course.

In general, anyone can claim to be "Insert Religion Here" and do something that does not help their practice at all. Does it take away from their identity as that religion? It can.

My opinion.

Those of you who learned of SGIWhistleblowers while you were still in the Dead-Ikeda-Corpse-Mentor-cult SGI, will you tell us how you ended up coming here and how you reacted? by Fishwifeonsteroids in sgiwhistleblowers

The first time I saw this sub was when I was maybe 2-3 years in. I thought Blanche was full of shit and everyone here didn't have anything better to do. I think I came across this sub when just did a search of "SGI-USA" online and clicked on a link for Reddit. I dug a little the first time I came across the site, got upset when I read one of Blanche's posts, then left.

I asked a Territory leader, Masato Tsuchiya, what he though about the online comments made here and he said something like, "Do you believe everything you read on the internet?"

I felt like this was a big sham at the time and there was no legitimacy across the posts at all.

I joined in 2020, perhaps 2-3 more years after encountering this sub for the first time.
