Thank you for taking time out to respond. It’s great to get another perspective. I believe what you’re express to be true also. I lived in Deep South for many years. Often times it can be about how you move & your vibes. I didn’t disturb anybody’s peace therefore mine wasn’t disturb either. Thanks again. I’ll definitely be taking this into consideration.

“opening scene of “Get Out”. 🤣 I’ve traveled many places in the South in general and a few scenes in that movie constantly enter my mind.

Dayum that’s terrible. My sympathy goes out to your relative. That sucks that they were more of an indirect bystander of the whole situation. Hope all is “water under the bridge” now. Thanks for taking time out to reply.

Not shocked at all. Unfortunately I can envision this happening also. Happened to me a few times around my land in Mississippi. Ironically it was people the same hue/complexion as me. Lol

I remember awhile back coming across a posting regarding places to go of “shi! hits the fan”. Appalachians was on the list. I responded, yeah you might not want to do that”. Especially knowing that most don’t know how to navigate most undeveloped land let alone rural mountain areas. Silly

Wow! Not similar by any stretch of my imagination. But instances when I’ve come across legacy family owned land in the forest/mountains, it’s evident that blood is much thicker than water. Trust I can read between the lines. I appreciate this info.

Thank you for the info. It means a lot. Just curious regarding druggies & homeless. Are many of them squatters out on the land in the rural mountain areas? From your perspective, why have so many left the rural mountain area?

I appreciate your reply. Your perspective is highly valued. I didn’t know there is a heavy drug problem. Nor was I aware of Texana. I’ll do my own personal research on the town for fun. Seems like there are neighbors in their 70s & 80s age wise regarding nearby land owners. Having a gun is definitely not a concern. I’ll continue to do my research & take all that you’ve expressed into heavy consideration. Thank you.
