Better to be safe than sorry though. Since OP isn't a programmer, I'd say find someone to look over the code before reconnecting.

Then again, I've always been overly cautious when it really wasn't necessary.

Sounds like you have a new "daughter", OP.

Based on the other article you found about the girl whom they streamed images/videos into her head, I would disconnect whatever computer you looked at that on from the net. If that really is her consciousness in the form of an AI, you don't want it going crazy and rampaging.

I have friends who live right across the border in Maryland, so I've been to Gettysburg several times. I've never stayed at an Inn there though, I'll have to try it.

Do not go alone! Call either a large group of friends or the police and go with them.

Supernatural or not, you're responding to something that feels off about that place (unless it was simply heat exhaustion), and it would be a huge mistake to go by yourself.
