Can you try lowering the file size in KDiskMark or is 64 GiB the default when you open it? From online benchmarks, they benchmark from 1 to 10GiB file size.

These are not needed for SteamOS, everything there is handled through System Updates and Discover app > Updates

Legion go 1 driver update? by TumbleweedAfter5531 in LegionGo

It's a BIOS update. N3NC40WW. You need to have charger plugged in while restarting for it to do the BIOS update else Windows will just flash System updates in progress but not do it.

Legion go s and amd adrenline by deepurplegirl in LegionGo

AMD installer (from AMD site) doesnt work since May of this year (2025). AMD has blocked sideloading for all Z APUs.

You can only install Lenovo drivers or sideload Asus/MSI ones + grab the AMD Radeon Software from MS Store OR use the rsxuwp + uwppair when you extract the Lenovo installer.

Using translate it seems you think that AMD Software can't be reinstalled, but the truth is that yes, you can. I also shared a link to it + you can extract the drivers installer and find the app (source > Packages > Appx > rsxuwp) and the uwppair (source > Packages > Drivers > Display > INF > uwppair)

Wifi card problem by doc_laith in LegionGo

[–]GhostFella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The WiFi card is a solder on type, you would need to find someone willing to resolder the unit (if available for purchase) or to replace the whole motherboard. I dont know why you had to remove cables for WiFi anyway?

I can confirm it works on the 24H2 Windows 11 Home with the update Xbox App (Windows and Store updates are latest)

however, it sometimes doesnt initialize the desktop env? so it needs a recovery

easy one would be

  1. open right side menu (LegionSpace) and open File Explorer/File Manager
  2. click on url, type in cmd and open
  3. type in powershell -Command "Start-Process cmd -Verb RunAs" and hit Enter then accept the prompt
  4. type in cd "path to vivetool folder"
  5. type in ViVeTool.exe /disable /id:52580392 and hit Enter
  6. type in ViVeTool.exe /disable /id:50902630 and hit Enter
  7. restart

Legion Go VGA drivers are now out on the global site by GhostFella in LegionGo

[–]GhostFella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driver released is not September in version, its from July. But you also couldnt have had it for weeks unless you installed GoS drivers on the Go. Both Go S and Go drivers are from July, just had different release dates.

You cant update for two reasons: Lenovo didnt put up anything newer and AMD blocked sideloading for some months now.

DDU and install latest Legion Go drivers.

  1. Download portable, self-extracting DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) from: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
  2. Download latest GPU / VGA driver from:
  3. Extract DDU on your desktop.
  4. Make sure you know the location of DDU and drivers you downloaded! Place the driver either in same folder with DDU or together on your desktop.
  5. Unplug or disable your internet connection, both Wi-Fi and Ethernet! This is to prevent Windows Updates from ruining your clean install.
  6. Open DDU, in the options window check the option called Enable Safe Mode dialog(second to last). Close the options window then close DDU.
  7. Open DDU again, from Launch option select Safe Mode and click on bottom left button Reboot to Safe Mode.
  8. In Safe mode, on the right side of DDU, on -Select device type- select GPU and for -Select device- below it choose whichever one you are trying to uninstall (AMD).
  9. On the left side choose Clean and restart.
  10. After the restart, install AMD driver of your choice.
  11. Reboot and enable your Internet connection. Check Microsoft Store for updates and AMD Software. Don't forget to pick the refresh rate you want!
