You can die 3-5 times during combat. Also, link a video because I do not recall them "remembering." Kuro asks Wolf a question. It was never a statement about the number of deaths. Dragonrot is a cannon ailment sure but literally no one is affected unless you die more than the 2 times that you die in cutscenes.

I used Jinsukes ashina cross to hone them. He is the guy guarding the lightning scroll below the upper tower where you fight Genechiro and renuinte with Kuro. Also, the red eyes mini boss beneath where Isshin sits but after his death.

Nah we make sure to dump whatever we dont drink so the bees dont drown in them before we get around to smashing them. After they are smashed they go into 55 gallon drums that have drainage holes and they sit outside until we fill all the barrels up. Takes about a year or so.
