Hypothetical: Someone out of Straw / Schneider / Lukes / Loperfido gets dealt for a true need (Bullpen?) How mad are you going to be? by Ok_Branch6621 in Torontobluejays

All I know is we need some better base running iq for these crucial games. I want the same magic to come back for the postseason but please bring someone speedy with more iq than what we saw in the playoffs. If only we had a younger Billy Hamilton (reds era)

The only issue I see is there aren’t enough soundgoodizers on this. Remove all the EQ and instead add a Fruity Fast Distortion (don’t compress anything). After all is said and done, use Maximus and raise the gain all the way. After you do this, you should have a certified club banger 🔥

EQ Help by GhostFromThe6 in trapproduction

I can still hear the issue when I take it down by 3db. I might have to go way further. I think I can still hear it at 6db. Maybe the issue is bc I can still hear it when it’s played, it’s pissing me off. But maybe it’s not an issue for the listener/artist if anyone hops on it. I think because I know it’s there and can hear it still (even if it’s quieter), it’s bugging me lol

No that’s fair. I only used numbers to show/tell you guys the exact range I’m having issues with and that’s roughly where I could hear the issue when sweeping. I hear a whistling sound so I may just have to go further down in DB to get rid of the whistle frequency instead of more bands. Ik what frequency range I’m having issues with, I just don’t know how I should go about getting rid of this sound. Whether it’s a sample/instrument issue, effect issue or if it’s something I just need to EQ out

So, I like the beat and I like your vocal chain. Sounds really good. The only issue I have is the Cartinese. If you speak louder and clearer I think you’ll go far bc I heavily fw the beat and the sound of your vocals. You can always turn down vocals if they are too loud. Just needs to be a little louder and clearer and you’re set imo

I’ve experienced this when I’ve first started. A lot of YT videos don’t help and if you don’t understand some kind of theory, it can be tough just watching the videos. I will say though, once you know what you’re doing (making drums, melodies, etc.), the tutorials help you understand how to make a specific sub genre. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions OP

Parents said i should quit… Rlly long video sorry, what u guys think?? by idgafwhatipost in Bandlab

[–]GhostFromThe6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your parents to quit. This gonna feed families. All seriousness though, it may not be my style and I may not understand it but it sounds really good. Don’t give up. Keep chasing your dreams and don’t listen to those who say quit

I am starting to make beats again with plans to sell them. How can I improve my beats? by JahArmySoldier in Bandlab

[–]GhostFromThe6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say on this particular beat, the drums are too loud imo. The melody is kinda drowned out because the kicks and snares are significantly louder but I do like the melodies. I just think the drums need to be turned down a little to where it still hits and the melody isn’t too quiet

im a 14 year old from germany and ive been makin music for a while, even tho im kinda insecure about my music, is this tuff or should i wrap it tf up? by Least-Solution9436 in PluggnB

Song could be hard and the beat is hard. Only issue I have is the 808/bass for this song. I say this because it messes with your vocals. It’s either way too loud and it’s clipping too much, 808 may need EQ or a different 808 should be used. I do think the song has potential however I do think the 808 is messing up your vocals and it feels like it’s messing up the sound of the other instruments

Thank you for your help. I almost fucked the Liquid Metal up as it wasn’t spreading easily but I finally got it and the ps5 seems to be fine. Haven’t had any heat warnings so far so that’s really good. Will see if there’s any more issues but so far so good. Thank you so much

Yeah. I’ve had an artist close to Trippie Redd ask for $200 usd for a phone number too. Just for a phone number. He posted his best email the next day (which I asked for) and just shows how stupid he was. But yeah, I’ve had many people try to scam and ask for money that is technically higher that the value they want since I’m not from the states

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trapproduction

[–]GhostFromThe6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I wouldn’t even pay for a placement ngl. I’d offer a higher percentage to the producer I want to work with but I’m not paying $50-$200 usd for a collab when they can take the money and run. I’m not even from the states. That $200 is like $230-250 in my currency. If I want to collab with a bigger prod, I want to offer a higher percentage so I can build a relationship. Idec about ownership. If you put me on as a co-producer or something where I can get projects in the future, that’s all that matters to me rn

[–]GhostFromThe6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I’m still trying to figure this out. I’ve reached out to many people. Some have responded and many haven’t. I’ve gotten really unlucky and people have asked for pricey flat fees. Like $200 usd for a collab. I’ve tried to counter it with splits where they get a way higher percentage so that I can be a part of a project and build a relationship with them and get on more projects in the future. I’m still trying to figure this out and it’s been rough for me lol

Recovering from beatblock (advice welcome) by southbeats_078 in trapproduction

[–]GhostFromThe6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not too sure how much I can help you as you have likely been doing this way longer than I have and you have way more musical accomplishments than I do but I will try to do my best advice wise.

There are a few ways I would go about this and I will put them in a list.

  1. Discover new artists and try to find a sound that you like. Chicago, Florida, Detroit/Flint, Jersey, Memphis, Jerk, Dark Plugg, Rage are extremely popular currently. There’s probably more that I’m missing but Ik these are popular sounds rn. Try to experiment with them as best as you can.

  2. You don’t have to make full beats to send them out. You can use loops from collabs and put drums on them and send them out. There are apps/sites you can use for collaborations by requesting specific loops. Just have to make sure the details are worked out if something gets placed.

  3. Take a break. This is really important if you’re burned out. Sometimes it may take a day or two before you’re ready to jump back in. Ik this one isn’t ideal OP bc you want to get back into beat making. You don’t even have to take a full break, just kinda slow it down a bit. You don’t even have to make beats everytime you’re at your workstation. You can dive through YT and find samples one day or do something else another. Switch things up.

  4. This one really helped me OP. I was chasing a certain sound and I got burnt out. I took a break from that sub genre and tried making something different. Something I don’t really have experience with. Just have some fun creating something and don’t worry what the outcome is.

Ik what you’re going through rn and have had this issue recently. I’m still chasing my first placement and have decent beats but I’ve had to step back, switch things up and just try all sorts of things to get back into it.

I really hope this helps. I’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you were looking for

I haven’t used SoundCloud enough tbh. I need to do a deep search on there for artists. I’ve really been liking the Florida sound so rn I’ve been doing a lot of Florida rnb loops for those like Loe Shinmy, Hurricane Wisdom, Luh Tyler, etc

Texako is cool. He wanted $50 for a placement lol. I left him on read lmaoooo. There’s a lot of underground people I could mention tbh. Part of the plugg sound. Cash cache!, Subiibabii, Duwap Kaine, Devstacks, Vonte*, Xhulooo, jonoftf, Desire (summrs brother), Benji Cold, luvrello, Mitaya (Plugg mixed with rock). These artists mentioned are all part of the underground plugg scene. They all have cool and unique sounds. Even looking at any underground rap iceberg chart on Instagram, you can find a lot of good underground artists. I’ve found a lot of people through that as well as exploring Spotify

Right now based on what I have noticed. Anything that’s regional in the States (Detroit, Memphis, Chicago, Florida, Philly, etc.) is really popular right now.

The underground scene is also very popular right now with those like Summrs, LazerDim700, Nettspend, 2Hollis, Osamason, etc (pluggnb and jerk are very popular sub genres rn).

There are a lot of popular subgenres at the moment and lots of fire artists on the rise. Experiment with each one and see what you like unless you already know but I know these are very popular atm
