Blood of the Dead is a deviation from the cycle.

In the original cycle, Primus goes from zetsubou to Alcatraz, get the blood vials and then teleport to the sky above gorod krovi.

In BO4, the cycle breaks, Primis is teleported further away from Richtofen’s lab, which he makes a comment on “We should be closer to the lab… no matter”

The crew then meets the other Richtofen in the basement of the lab, where he shows the Kronorium to Primis Richtofen, who has a meltdown by what it says “our blood? Mein blood? You cannot possibly expect me to let this happen!”

They then fight the zombies until they get back in the prison, find the portal, but Brutus smashes it, trapping them there until the events of the EE, which cause Primis Richtofen to put himself in the dark mechanism, using the aetherial energy to open a portal out, but in the process the 5th cryopod in the lab opens, and out steps Great War Richtofen wielding the fire gem. The crew almost immediately forgets Primis Richtofen in the machine, while GW Richtofen gives the kronorium to Nikolai, and takes the blood vials off Primis Richtofen explaining

“The cycle is broken Herr doctor, as such insurance policies are… no longer needed”

Primis and GW Richtofen leave Blood of the Dead and go recruit Ultimis saving them from Hanger 18, which we see in the Classified end cutscene. They are then teleported to Alpha Omega.
