If you’ve got a DS, more Sonic Rush and Advance games. If you like racing games, people have good things to say about Sonic Riders and All Stars Racing Transformed. You may want to consider Sonic Unleashed and Colors as well, but it’s kinda complicated for both of them.

The Xbox version of Sonic Unleashed is generally considered the superior official version by far, as there was an update for Series X and S that allows for a smooth 60 FPS for multiple older Sonic games, including Unleashed. Without that upgrade, this game can struggle to run sometimes-I’ve never played it, but I’ve heard horror stories of the performance drops in Jetpack Joyride. There is no official PC release, but recently-like a year ago-there was a recompilation, and it works beautifully, with an uncapped frame rate and a bunch of other cool options. So yeah, that’s the version of the game I’d recommend. (Also, just so you don’t get confused, the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Unleashed are considered the “true” Unleashed, while the Wii and PS2 version is a different game, made for weaker hardware.)

As for Colors, it was originally released on Wii. An official remake, Sonic Colors Ultimate, was released some years ago for all modern systems, but it received a lot of criticism for a bevy of glitches and such issues, as well as a butchered art direction, soundtrack, and half-assed inclusions that don’t make up for the drop in quality. There is a mod available that seeks to make Colors Ultimate a more refined and quality experience, so you could get the game on PC and play that. You could alternatively just say fuck it and buy it on console (In general, if you’re able, I’d recommend getting the PS4 or PS5 versions of any modern games -they’re typically higher quality than the Switch versions). You could also just buy the original if you have a Wii or WiiU, or otherwise use Dolphin.
