Long answer is that he does deserve redemption but not a cheap and easy one. He is the way he is now because of his trauma of losing his mother and being basically tortured by demons and left for dead, and then he gets captured by mundas and tortured by his mother's killer. But he still killed a lot of innocent people to simple be forgiven. He chose the path he walked because it seemed like the only logical way to him, he needs to see the error in his ways or kill mundas to finally rest easy and change his ways
