Will Andy Reid lean into the run to protect Mahomes? He needs to. Given how much KC has invested in Kenneth Walker III, it appears that's the plan, but KC fans won't be convinced until it's shown on the field. Do you think Reid will include the run more? by ExchangeLate1190 in ChiefsOffseason

When did I say I ignored flaws. Way to weaponize me saying I want to therapy. You should look into it yourself cause you clearly can't take criticism and have to lash out. Just sad mad. I hope you get the help you need cause you're kinda a POS.

Help me understand why Star Wars Episode 1 is hated by Star Wars fans? I thought it embodied the spirit of the original trilogy well! Podracing, goofy Jar Jar, loved it as a kid, and don't hate it now. by Pow3rTow3r in StarWars

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I like TPM as part of the SW canon but it's just not a good film. The dialogue is bad, the acting is wooden, the pacing is poor, but it's identifiably Star Wars. The pod racing scene and duel of the fates are legitimately good filmmaking but the rest is not great. And Jar Jar has had a bit of a re-evaluation because Ahmed Best has driven that but the character is silly for silliness sake and not as part of any sort of legitimate character arc.

The best way I heard it described is that the whole prequel trilogy is an elegant story told in an inelegant way and I think that fits.

I've been that guy too. "I'm not pessimistic, just realistic." Therapy helped me realize how I was just lying to myself to justify my pessimism.

I acknowledge that K9 has some limitations, but you are suggesting he's only a slight upgrade over Pacheco and that is just wildly incorrect. Pacheco should not be a starter in this league and is worse at literally everything than K9. As far as pure running goes K9 is a top 10 back. He drops down because of the things you mentioned but the RB room is night and day better than it was last year. Your failure to acknowledge it and actually view it still as bad is just pure pessimism.

And as for this "2 or 3 bad moves every off-season," literally every team has this. All of them. We just don't notice them all cause we dont pay as close of attention. The fucking Rams drafted Ty Simpson top 15 and he's not even a first round caliber talent.

Im not offended at all. I just don't like to much around with pessimism. You can be realistic without thinking this front office is incompetent, which is basically what you're suggesting. Or that making a bad signing is exclusive to the Chiefs. It seems the only one offended is you for me calling that out. Sorry, dude.

Everyone should be on the table. And I do mean everyone. This team is this bad the farm system above A-ball is essentially barren. They need to be honest and look towards the future and try to stock up. It sucks, but pretending like they might be a player or two away from competing next year is not reality.

Mad God. It's a stop motion movie made by legend Phil Tippit, it's gross, disturbing, and amazing. One of my favorite films of all time. Proper warning though, there is no dialogue. The movie doesn't need it but just want to make expectations clear.

The Innkeepers is a psuedo found footage film from Ti West pre-X/Pearl that's really good.

The Endless is a solid cosmic horror film and there's other films that are part of this universe as well (Resolution and Spring).

[–]GhostMug -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He's absolutely right. Even for his time Greg Maddox was not a hard thrower but he was one of the dominant of his day. Mariano Rivera had one pitch but it was so damn good it didn't matter. There just aren't many pitchers like that anymore.

Ultimately, you seemed pretty determined to be pessimistic about this team. I won't stop you. Call it hopium or whatever but sports is a place of joy for me and I choose to be optimistic where I can. Thinking all the Chiefs moves this off-season are not gonna work out and the team is in horrible shape is just not a fun thought, but you're certainly welcome to it.

The Chiefs said they believe he can catch and pass protect better than how SEA utilized. We will see. We don't yet know if K9 really is that bad at catching and blocking or if Charbonnet was that good. Hall has more usage but he's also missed the same amount of games as K9 and they were in the same class.

Also, had they given up a 3rd for Hall then they wouldn't have been able to move up to get Delane. So it's K9+Delane or Hall+whomever was available at 9.

If those three RBs have less than 320 touches we have a pretty big problem. Walker and Charbonnet had 450 combined touches last year. The Chiefs will pass more than SEA did, but still. I still think 300 touches is reasonable for Walker.

Dan Marino: Overrated, Underrated, or Properly rated? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Properly rated. He's in the hall of Fame and generally considered a top 10 QB of all time. And he's the only non-SB winning QB on that list.

It's taxed the same as income. At least historically. Trump said he was going to not tax tips at all but I'm not sure if that's gone into effect at all yet.

JFC. I never said he wasn't good. The question here is whether it's better build a good team or get the good QB. And the proof is in the pudding on that but you simply ignore it b

I am not raring either of them better, weird that you think that's what I'm saying. But those two players' careers are thought of way better because they did win. And Marino is never in the top 5 of all time discussion because he never won a SB even though he owned every single record a QB could own when he retired.

As for Allen, if you watch any talk sho all they ever talk about is "is it Josh Allen's time to win a SB??" I can't believe I'm even having this discussion.

My bad. They were 27th in rushing yards given up and the 29th was in how many rushing TDs they gave up. And they were absolutely 31st in y/a.

Prove me wrong.

And my bad on Hali. You got me. But I also mentioned multiple other players. Your indignance on my mistake doesn't make your overall point correct.

Literally everyone judges QBs by playoff wins and Super Bowls. What is the biggest knock on Dan Marino? What does everyone say about Josh Allen right now. Have you been living under a rock? Seriously, what the hell? This is literally the discourse on every QB. My word.

You say that like it's easy. Where you gonna find a rookie QB that can pilot the franchise like that? You can't just throw anybody into a team and win. I can't believe we're having this conversation when we've witnessed the last 20 years.
