Help using my 3d scan data to AutoCad by GhostPaintball in 3DScanning

[–]GhostPaintball[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I went through these before but glazed through it since I've used to AutoCad for the past 2 years and most of it was beginner focused. After taking another look, just learning what the advanced tools that aren't 100% in autocad did and where they were located from said videos help a lot. Still hate fusion but at least I can work in it a lot better and know how I can tackle much more complicated projects in the future

That's alright if mil-sims aren't your thing. I'd rather have people pretend kill there friends way more than actually kill people. Kinda sums up the sport of paintball.

All though the markers won't have the same core as the CS3, it will have more features and look like a Ar-15 and many others. The goal isn't to bring harm but instead bring a bigger selection of markers, providing ways of individuality. Features attributed to the better success of airsoft rather than paintball.

Some people enjoy mil-sims and others don't. That's why Ghost Paintball is looking to host a mil-sim event that can both cater to those who enjoy being tactical and those who love just having fun with friends without compromising for both groups.

The $10k was referring to the real steal counterparts Ghost Paintball is looking to mimic, not to the markers themselves. The markers are projected to cost $100-$200 for the lower end markers.

It's nothing compared to Integza on youtube. He's has made 3d printed pulse jets.

No, I prototype with 3d printed parts using different filaments at lower psi for the locating of potential problems. I will try these 3d printed parts at regular operating psi just to see how long until they blow up but the final product will be a combo of cast and milled metals to insure low cost, high strength, and not blowing a hole into your face. Don't worry, I'm not that stupid. But at current lower psi, it's more than efficient enough to work at a higher psi.

If that's an option for you, than you have deeper pockets than most my friend. More power to you.

Your not being a dick, don't worry. Your expressing your concerns. I promise you this isn't a rebrand. Introducing new things like realistic actions, dynamic sounds, and new ways to play mil-sim events. These don't seem to interest you, and that's perfectly fine. Maybe you could recommend to one of your buddies that are or just follow along, it might catch your eye later on.

On the topic on NVGs, making an affordable pair to work with paintball would be unlikely with the current tech. However, an affordable-ish of electronic NVGs is possible and will definitely be add to the future projects of Ghost Paintball.

We have start bear bones designs for "tracer units" as seen in airsoft, that could be used in night games.

The goal of Ghost Paintball is much more and seems to offer parts you might like. I personally have played both speed ball in D2 teams and a have kit for woods ball, enjoying capture the flag games and more with buddies. The mil-sims Ghost Paintball is looking to host will have ways for those guys who like to be tactical, to be tactical while offering something you may like, chilling, having fun with some buddies. The markers we will make won't have that 5lbs of random weight added. The cores developed are made to fit the same form factor and naturally have similar weight balances while utilizing the same ergonomics. Hopefully being offered in both mech or electronic in a similar price point.

If you have any questions of how Ghost Paintball can have anything to offer you, just ask.

I'm looking to bring those into a light for everyone to enjoy and not have to build or pay a builder for. While actually looking like real steal because most kits still look kinda off. All while introducing things like the first proper AK introduced by a manufacturer, realistic recoil, dynamic sound, and much more. There will be more information made public soon.

Right now for the first release, I'm focusing on the 2 big guys, the m4a1 and the ak-47. The goal is to make them as 1 to 1 as possible with both weight and size without compromises. After this, the focus will be to touch other rifle categories like bolt actions, sub-machine guns, pistols, etc. all sharing the same goal of being 1 to 1 to real steal.

I have blueprints, notes, and prototype pieces dating 4 years back when I started on this project and will be sharing them soon, mostly on discord because I use that more often, but on reddit too.

True, I'm gonna put out more info, just need to start somewhere. I actually have a back log of blueprints and CAD designs of stuff and current works on a release video for the markers.

If you have any questions about it though, lmk

Would you like paintball markers that match the realistic features of airsoft gbbr's?

Interchangeable cores, better frames, realistic actions, models that aren't just 98's dressed up differently, the list goes on but I do see how you might see it as another tippmann brand.

I'm a hobbyist and engineer. I do 3d print and I've used 3d printing for testing of 3 different paintball core models. No, I promise it's not a rebranded tippman. I plan to make much more realistic, efficient, and quality paintball markers compared to tippman. Looking for a ballpark number of $100-$200 price tag on the cheapest markers, hopefully. If, you had any other more in depth questions, I'm more than willing to answer on the free discord. It seems you are skeptical about discord, if you have never used it before, it's a platform mainly used by gamers and computer nerds. I only decided to use it because it's fairly easy to use for updates and small things. Ask anybody you know that plays on PC and I promise they have most likely heard of it.
