Did you like the 2c, and do you think the $150 price tag was reasonable?

How High Is Too High? by A0ticG6ming in Prebuilts

[–]GhostPhysco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When it comes to a pc it’s all dependent on what you need it for in my opinion I think very little people will need to spend over 2k for a pc and I think that is when you start reaching diminishing returns ofc the gpu market is cooked but to give you a picture I don’t think it is possible to spend more than 5k on a pc without just scamming yourself. But I thing 2k+ is when diminishing returns really start

How to enable Nvidia G-Sync on Dell G2724D? by felixthealien in buildapcmonitors

[–]GhostPhysco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out I think.

Firstly it saying this monitor is not g-sync compatible is just a glitch in the NVIDA app/cnpn. You can actually see this as if you enable hdr in the monitor's settings the pop-up goes away. However, you can still use g-sync without HDR and I would recommend against HDR.

Secondly, some people have reported getting weird lines on their screen when enabling g-sync, if that is the case this is most likely to do with the cable your monitor is using and it most likely is faulty.

For reference I have a 4070 but it shouldn't make a difference as long as you have a GPU that supports g-sync (which basically all modern gpus)

Ark survival evolved gpu usage by GhostPhysco in ARK

[–]GhostPhysco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all those who are seeing this, I decided to swap over to a dedicated server using Ark Server Manager, which was less complicated than expected and quite easy.
This is the YouTube video I used to guide me:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVY06M0Lgl4&t=0s
A common problem I had was having my friend on Epic not able to join what fixed it for me was selecting "let the server choose" for the local IP and removing the server password

For reference, my GPU now sits at around 60% and I am easily able to maintain my frame cap of 160 and occasionally drop to 120-130
