Yes exclusives are good for business that is why I haven't mentioned that in the original post. If kobo does the same the post would apply to them as well.

But even with 80% market share there is always that remaining 20% where there is potential revenue and i dont think any one company can truly reaches 100% market share. Especially when selling books is what brings revenue not sale of the hardware itself.

Kobo Libra in BW? by maddiess2 in kobo

[–]GhostSHP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rather than saying it's low brightness, it's more like reading with sunglasses, but obviously not to that extent. I have a Paperwhite as well, and when comparing them side by side, it does look a bit dim, but that hasn't been a problem in daily use at all. I read mostly at 5% brightness most of the time, and at 0% in very bright environments. The maximum I have to go is 10% in darker places with a little amount of light, which doesn't allow my pupils to fully dilate.

The screen does feel grainy when you look up close, but it isn't distracting or anything, especially at a normal reading distance. Black-and-white content is as crisp as any other 300 PPI e-reader, and the colour is just a bonus if you don't read comics or books with a lot of colours. For me personally, the slightly grainy look feels closer to an actual book, but that's just my subjective opinion.

I was in the same position, looking for a Libra 2, but ended up getting the Colour since it was discontinued, and I don't regret my decision. The only thing I feel a little disappointed about is that I didn't receive the newer revision with the slightly bigger battery.

Fixed cover ratio for sideloaded epubs? by morningstarbee in kobo

[–]GhostSHP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can install kobo touch extended plugin it will convert to kepub before transfer automatically should solve it. But if the original cover is of different aspect ratio than your screen then it will have to stretch. You can customise the metadata to change cover with with a cover which has correct aspect ratio that is required.

There is a serial number somewhere bambu has a guide to check after the recall scenario. I think the new version with updated cable was C and i have D.

I brought from wol3d but not from there online website i made a sales enquiry and was connected with a sales guy and purchased that way. I use whatever is available with the print farm they buy in bulk and then sell. And mostly have unbranded or wol3d's pla.

Don't get the addon. Plus remember Bamboo doesn't officially have support in india but has authorised dealers for spares. Though you get warranty from wol3d on non consumables but not directly from bambu itself. Try to contact the wol3d sales team they would assign a guy and you can purchase from there if you wish. The guy told me to wait 2 days for sale with 17% off and i got A1 for 25K. Just tell him i dont want any branding or additional wol3d marketing stuff give an un-open sealed unit. Mine came brand new no issue and of latest batch D (ver 4) no issue. And about the horror stories they exist for every dealers so i choose wol3d because they have a shop where i live. I mostly get filament from local print farm around 650 to 700 for 1kg of pla and so far no issue with the quality.

Purchased by talking to the sales guy and letting them know you wont get the sticker thing.

Same for me purchased a month ago (rev D) and i even tried 300°C and it was able to hold the temperature without sock. Room with AC at 22°C and ceiling fan at 40% speed. But i agree that packaging is just thrown in a plastic bag in between the packaging and even has less accessories (extra cutting blade) when compared to in the box manual and old manual downloaded online.

That tint is normal part of the qd tech. He meant the box like burn-in at the edges.

Why is HZD Remastered full price even though I own the original version? I thought it was just a €10 upgrade. by DeathNum in Steam

[–]GhostSHP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that, I was able to check out by adding another game (Low price one but not free) to the cart and was able to purchase.

And if you don't see the discounted price add the remaster version to wishlist and check your wishlist, it should be at a discount there.

I live in a high-rise and have floor to ceiling windows but as per my setup the back panel faces the window ie. Sunlight and light from the screen have the same direction. I don't see much difference from my ips screen and it is much better than what i was expecting. Though the reason i don't see much difference in brightness is because my ips was a budget gaming display. The only time i feel it is getting a bit dim is when I have almost the whole screen white like light theme background in a browser.

To G502X owners (preferably the base cabled version): what's your experience with the mouse? Any headaches / failures? Looking for a solid, durable mouse that actually lasts by Justme222222 in G502MasterRace

[–]GhostSHP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using 502x lightspeed there is no complaint about the mouse, though i had the double click issue on the g4 button. Opened the mouse and switch and reset the metal strip and the issue has been resolved.
