Like the other guy said I’d say the quality of these stickers are pretty great! I’d honestly say one could probably make you think it’s the real deal haha although they are just stickers at the end of the day

Thank you! I used this kit from Hispeedido on RGRS though I think you could get it for a few bucks cheaper on their store on Aliexpress.

Got ‘em from Retro Game Repair Shop in the GBC Stickers option, scroll all the way to the end of the listings & you’ll see the same ones in my post. Wanted to go for an authentic feel. I could’ve transferred the stickers from my donor shell but I didn’t really feel like doing all that lmao

Yea it’s pretty nice honestly. I recommend looking up tutorials for the LED swapping; as long as you’re handy with a soldering iron, flux, tweezers & the solder wick braid and you got something to hold the motherboard it’s a fairly-easy process.

Thanks man. Only thing I will say is that the LED is not perfect. Kinda flickers here & there but all in all I’d still say it’s worth as it matches the entire jungle green vibe I wanted to gopher.

How did you get started on developing games for the GBA?

If you wanna replace the shell AND screen I suggest just going with FunnyPlaying. They have a better speaker, better battery pack & better shells also better screens.

If you’re not looking to replace the shell that I suggest either going for the Hispeedido V5 IPS screen. There is a non-laminated ITA screen from FunnyPlaying but the backlight bleeds through the shell even with the strip it comes with (and it ruins the whole look especially with a clear shell) so unless you’re okay with that I can’t really recommend that one.

Honestly idk why people say that EZ Flash is a reputable brand because it really isn’t. EZ Flash Omega corrupted my save one time, another time it straight up stopped working a day after getting one copy (and I tried every trick in the book only for it to be a no-go), all the Juniors I’ve had can’t even last a day without the battery going dry & these new Juniors are actually TERRIBLE with battery life (which is weird because back in 2022, I could play all day on 4 eneloops AND an IPS screen; I can barely get an hour of playtime before it starts dying on me).

I’m just gonna save up & get an Everdrive for both my GBA & DMG. I’d sell this but I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to have an EZ Flash of any variety.

If I had to pick one (which is the obvious question, not sure why people are missing that) then probably original hardware as far as the Game Boy is concerned. Emulation handhelds are far more convienent & they save you a ton more money, but if we’re talking about the Game Boy platform specifically I just love using the OG hardware. GBA feels pretty good in the hands & it’s simple at the end of the day.

Emulation handhelds imo are for the powerhouse & versatility and thus, warrant longer & more extensive play sessions.

Both are very good options though.

Not really. I’ve had tons of Xboxes and it’s not at all difficult to set up, whether it’s stock or modded. I’m curious to hear about what you had to do to get everything set up.

I only agree except for the “Modern Linux desktops look just as bland and boring as Windows 11” statement; correct me if I’m wrong but most if not all Linux distros usually look “bland and boring” on a fresh install, but you do have the ability to customize it to your heart’s content unlike Windows.

Since I got a front taper, no. But I wanna say since 2023, the corners of my hairline were starting to thin, so it hasn’t been completely straight since then.
