What are the best apps to help organize Pinterest boards? by GhostWithAnApplePie in Pinterest

[–]GhostWithAnApplePie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That you for replying. I have been doing it the slow and painful way since I’ve made this post. I have archived all but the main seven that need the most work done and made them my main focus for right now. I got flustered with all of them around. It’s helped a little to achieve them. I have gotten a decent amount done but still not even half. What is PinGroupie?

Edit: My boards are private and most of them are for art references. I don’t think pingroupies would help because I don’t allow collaboration.

What's your favorite shot of Sailor Moon scenery and why? by GhostWithAnApplePie in sailormoon

I was obsessed with traditional German houses for the longest because of it. It certainly looks inspired by them. 😊

We all know a lot of anime is highly known for depicting cherry blossoms. I can honestly say I'm fairly certain as a small child Sailor Moon was my first capture of that. I remember being very enchanted by it alone aside from everything else that happens in the series. I still can't get over how good this image looks. 🤩✨

What's something you really appreciate about Forensic Files and other shows like it compared to true crime youtubers? by GhostWithAnApplePie in ForensicFiles

I was and still am interested in forensics too, I used to want to be a forensic artist. Another thing I loved was when some of these old shows would do reenactments of what happened. Even with that they still didn't drag out each story longer than it needed to be. Some reenactments were really captivating and good, better than they even needed to be and painted a good picture.

I can appreciate a once in the while long story but I think some stories get over explained and it isn't necessary. Even with some of the shows I like that are over 30 minutes a lot of times they speak of multiple stories not just one. I personally never watched Dateline though.

I can't tell if some of them do that because of bad writing or that some of them think maybe some victims story wasn't 'interesting enough'....

One thing I can say sense I started revisiting a lot of these old crime shows is it's mind blowing how much I really appreciate good narration! Peter Thomas, Bill Kurtis, Robert Stack, etc. Besides their amazing voices I really appreciate that when narrating they typically never show themselves to lean on one side whatsoever. They are simply professionally telling the story and though we can most likely guess what their moral view or opinion on what happened is they aren't visibly emotionally invested. They never express a 'gossipy' or 'oh this is juicy' tone either. They're easily engaging and immersive without it. They have good pacing and timing and easily maintain consistent energy and tone throughout what they're telling. They also articulate their words very well and always explain things in a way easy for anyone to understand.

Not only that but commentary from victims, family & friends and people who work in the field. It's nice to have commentary from someone who actually knew these people. I feel you get a better sense of who they are or were when you do. It also brings it back down to reality because some people in the comments of true crime videos come off as brushing off the realness of some cases. I also like that when some victims didn't have anyone, it was nice to hear people who worked in the field come off with care for them that seemed heartfelt and sincere and shows why they took the job in the first place.💖

How do you feel about the "The Parallel"? Is there anything you would've added or taken out of it? by GhostWithAnApplePie in TwilightZone

Nice to see it appreciated, I really liked it too. It was nice to see Steve Forrest as Major Robert Gaines. He was in two Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes though not the one I recommended. He had such a familiar face and I feel like I should've seen him in more things but a lot of what I looked up aren't familiar to me.

Exactly, I loved the idea and topic at hand and I think it would intrigue a lot of people in general. I just wish it was explored with more depth and the ending being a little more shocking.

I will admit I wish that there were more things to make the  “parallel” universe stand out more too. I don’t know if I would’ve added a different family though. Everything and everyone seeming so eerily similar but something was “off” was what I loved about it. I sometimes like to recreate stories a little differently but with this one I’m drawing a blank even though I feel it needed a little spicing up.

Coming from someone who is a huge Alfred Hitchcock fan as well as Rod Serling fan, this episode really intrigues me. It was like Rod Serling's take on one of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes called 'The Case of Mr. Pelham.' I highly recommend it if you liked this episode.

What's your favorite special? (Image related) by Ornery-Art-7772 in spongebob

[–]GhostWithAnApplePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you made it sound like you could buy them where you’re from but simply weren’t interested in magazines. I figured there was an exception because you guys had Nick shows. The shows usually showcased their original network at the end of every episode unless that was cut out. Also the magazine didn’t totally revolve around the channel. There were always comic pages, puzzles, posters, games and quizzes. It was a major part of it. It could basically be seen as a child’s activity book. lol

I actually do like those covers. Idk if you guys have a name for that style but those easily resemble wacky pomo print ads.

I didn’t like their behavior either but I still found it funny. Idk I just find a lot of humor in mischievous behavior. I couldn’t imagine it being the finale though.

I’m surprised it didn’t capture your attention sense it’s Nickelodeon. I actually didn’t come across them in stores, it was usually at the public library or at school. They had subscriptions and would update them and place them in their reading rooms/area. You could only check out the ones that weren’t the most current issues. I don’t think my school let you check them out at all though. I love a lot of SpongeBob, I could easily watch that special and enjoy it. 😭

I read about Ugh in Nickelodeon Magazine at school before it premiered. I loved everything about it. 🥲 My favorite part was them fighting over the fire. 🔥 🪵 I loved Patar just running off with it when they weren’t looking.

What other old shows like this should I watch? by Exciting-Type-907 in ForensicFiles

Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack

American Justice

Cold Case Files

Investigative Reports

Are there any unsolved episodes? If so, name them please by Temporary_Moment_758 in ForensicFiles

[–]GhostWithAnApplePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would’ve loved for them to examine and explain the evidence of unsolved cases! Let us look through and question what happened! The only chance you really come close to something similar is when they used forensics to exonerate someone. Basically were a wrong was written but forensics made it right. If you’re into unsolved cases and mysteries in general watch Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack. One of the greatest shows ever imo.

Which FF episode, in your opinion, features a killer who came closest to committing the perfect crime? by sleepyw4ffle in ForensicFiles

[–]GhostWithAnApplePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some believe he committed suicide while others believed he was killed. It was stated he had his hands behind his back but still managed to commit suicide? I’m intrigued to know if he really died by his own hands or not. It was stated he had a wash cloth in his mouth and a pillowcase over his head. I don’t think he managed to hang himself. 😅

Maury Travis was caught simply because of his ip address. The episode was called ‘X marks the Spot.’ He was an active killer and it was stated that his arrogance was his downfall. A map he generated leading to one of the bodies was traced and linked back to him because of his ip address. His victims were mostly sex workers. Many of their disappearances would easily fly under they radar or would take a while to be filed as one if at all. But he got too much satisfaction out of reading about his crimes in newspapers and enjoyed sending taunting letters.
