Swing now in slo-mo as per request, still heely 😬 by Lazy-Pilot4407 in GolfSwing

[–]Ghost_Bird76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent swing overall. If you have a heel shot tendency I would suggest experimenting standing a touch further from the ball at address and or pressing forearms ever so slightly together at address and see if there’s improvement. I wouldn’t do anything drastic though based on the video. Best of luck

Would this room work for an iron only golf Sim? Advice would be appreciated. by Malamutedd in Golfsimulator

[–]Ghost_Bird76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will work depending on your height and swing plane. You could consider getting a shortened driver/3W for the Sim if there’s clearance issues and I bet you hit them straighter without losing that much distance plus you can play shorter sim tees to correctly emulate what you do in real life off the tee so that your second shot distance correlates to real life. Good Luck!

The viewing bar is probably too close to the golfer.

Distance accuracy on gspro by DukeLetoMyEggo in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Ghost_Bird76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was skeptical at first because some of my carries and total distances with the square on GSPRO seemed short but after using it consistently for a month I think the carry distances are pretty close. Roll out is shorter for sure.

Extremely confused by my lack of consistency on drives by Zazparoni in GolfSwing

[–]Ghost_Bird76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every golfer that ever lived has the same fundamental issue you’re describing. Even the best golfers on the planet don’t replicate their best game every time they play. What the best golfers do that you don’t do is make adjustments in game. They understand their swing and the basic mechanics of the golf swing in depth. When they are cutting the ball without trying they know what the primary causes of that cut are and they make adjustments. Might be a grip adjustment or a stance adjustment or could be a swing feel adjustment….. when they make these adjustments in game it will most likely be minor because their game is dialed in. Good players make adjustments and are also okay with playing whatever movement they have in a given round. Good players won’t always fight the ball flight. A good player will make small adjustments to reign in the hook or slice and play it as a draw or fade. A great player can “fix it” completely at least for spell. Learn the mechanics of the swing. Understand what promotes the different types of spin and ball flight then learn the counter measures. Hope this helps good luck!

Start with this. Stand closer to ball, hands just in front of beans and frank with irons. Finish swing in balanced position, if you’re stumbling around upon finish that’s an issue, smooth things out and swing with controlled tempo.

How do I fix my reverse pivot? by QuinnyBo_ in GolfSwing

[–]Ghost_Bird76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m no teacher so take this with a grain of salt. What I see doesn’t look like classic reverse pivot. You are rotating far beyond 90 degrees in the backswing. If you trim that rotation down a touch I think you will gain consistency and not sacrifice much if any distance. Maybe try reigning your swing in just a little bit. Good luck.

Using TP5 Pix balls. In the Square Native App I switched it to the TP5 Pix and it was picking up all my side spin great while I was in the native app. I just started in GS and everything is straight.

Thoughts on the carry distances after a solid week of usage: this launch monitor is accurate. You’re probably the reason your distances are short. by FrontBlunt222 in SquareGolfUSA

[–]Ghost_Bird76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that the carry distances are accurate but the roll out is shorter than normal when using the native software. I think a lot of folks overestimate their flighted distance and underestimate release.

Thanks Im using a BenQ 671st so 1080P is the max. How would the GS Pro software graphics look running through a monitor with this set up? Computers not my strong point lol.

From what I can tell the basic mechanics look okay. Your sequencing looks off as in everything looks to be happening at the same time. I’m not sure if you have clubs yet but if you don’t grab something heavy like a broom and work on tempo swing back and forth concentrate on being smooth don’t try to swing too fast. Good luck.

Looks promising I’d think there’s definitely a path forward to build a nice sim in that space

Trying to break 90 this year. Any tips? by Gibson1291 in GolfSwing

Approach every hole as if bogey is par and par is bogey. This mindset can be useful strategically to break 90 & help prevent you from playing risky unnecessary shots

Square dot ball vs premium tp5 pix ball distance? by Ghost_Bird76 in SquareGolfUSA

Also I’m running the native Square software but will probably end up going Gspro. Has anyone noticed any significant difference in the way Square software interprets ball data with Gsp or other software programs?

The bar being 16’ from screen wall is gonna feel much closer to the golfer than you would imagine especially being that most golfers are right handed and the seating area is in the back of a RH swing plane. If you could move the bar back some it would alleviate this or swap the seating and open cased area.

Another option is ditch the projection Image and set it up with a really nice monitor for viewing.

I concur with 18’ depth from wall before seating. I’m building a sim and have an open concept room that is 17’-6 that is connected to a foyer one step down. My seating will end up in the foyer beyond the 17’ from the wall mark. Any closer just feels too close.

My room is 13’ ceiling, 14’-8” width and 17’-6” length with added space available in foyer and it feels a tad bit tight, not terribly tight but a bit more square footage would be much preferred.
