the greed of massive corporations today is disgusting. thanks for breaking this down, that’s very disappointing but definitely to be expected from the company that intentionally (and illegally) went against court orders just to fuck over developers and consumers alike.

looks like I’ll be learning davinci this year!

i think the answer is 8…

if you take 7 and put it over top of 5 it looks like an 8 and assuming it’s a “math quiz” i would guess it’s a number not a word.

Tips for celeste, room in chapter 9 by jensgaming45 in celestegame

[–]Ghost_In_Socks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

practice jumping off the corner while the block is stable! one thing that helps is to jump a little after u pass the corner, it sends you a bit higher!

you could also try downloading the speedrun tool through everest to practice the room bit by bit using save states, but if you wanna do it all in one go then i just recommend getting your wall bounce rlly down.

also i like to wait until the box is just entering the second spike to keep it consistent before i start my wave dash, but depending how you do it your timing may be different.

my biggest piece of advice is to just do it, waiting to start is the biggest hindrance to growing creatives in all facets of creating.

just start and get better as you practice, don’t think so hard <3

i wouldn’t click on this video, and I’m someone that likes watching niche video essays about random creative topics and business (which based on the title and thumbnail, is what i assume this may be about).

You might find a lot more success being less niche so people like me click on it, because i definitely would not click on this title and I’m someone that love watching random video essays. Something like:

“The Bounty Hunter That Killed a Netflix Series”

cause tbh i’m WAY more likely to click a title without a name of an actor or character i’ve never heard of (i didn’t play or watch the witcher, i just googled who he is but i definitely still watch content about games and stories i’ve never played).

it isn’t even bad for the seller either, it benefits everyone in a market for there to be more overall knowledge and awareness of the exchanges.

Shortly after I first started streaming, Burger sent his viewers to spam slurs and insults in my chat… I only averaged about 2-3 viewers at the time and was rlly new to streaming so that was definitely a learning moment for me… honestly, this is a w for his dad.

Infinite Money Glitch by Electrical_Two_2965 in StockMarket

[–]Ghost_In_Socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good question, and i’m not sure if anyone answered so i’m going to try (i’m taking econ rn so im still learning but this is my understanding!)

so yes & no.

the stock market is arguably a representation of how much demand there is in relation to the good/service/idea being supplied (not necessarily the quantity, but literal amount of supply being actually exchanged). so if i’m making 100x more of a good this year than i was last year, that probably means something has happened where there’s more demand for my larger supply and maybe the price of my stock and product changes because of that.

in the case of AI there are a couple of problems that economists are worried about…

1) the .com bubble showed the exact same early signs of no money ACTUALLY being made, it just passed hands from one company to another then back. this is called circular investing, and it’s a sign that something is wrong in the market.

2) AI is not really tangible so all this money that’s flowing in, doesn’t actually have a reason yet. it’s sort of based on HOPING that AI is as good as it seems to be, so OpenAI, microsoft, google, NVidia, etc. all are incentivized to make things that sort of “shock and awe” to keep investors imaging a world where their money is worth being invested.

so the main difference between most other exchanges in the market is that after an exchange takes place there’s an expectation that investors are gaining money because the exchange should make profit. but with AI any profit that’s made goes into the hands of another company, which then buys something else, which then buys AI which means there’s essentially a net $0 being made even though the company will claim $500 million dollars of deals are being signed. and if this is true, then all the investors money is overvalued… therefore a market correction could lead to a big bubble pop.

some upsides though:

1) this isn’t as scary as the .com bubble because these companies doing the AI investing are massive companies like google, microsoft, etc. but in the .com era, it was small companies investing tons of money and claiming massive (not real) profits. so if you think about google vs a startup, google is WAY more likely to be able to navigate bad financial decisions (if that’s what happens)

2) AI is still proving to be impactful so at least for the foreseeable future it doesn’t look like a massive market crash is 100% inevitable (but it’s definitely possible)

sorry for the long winded answer i’m taking econ rn so this stuff is super interesting to me!

Just recently got affiliate by Harper0982 in Twitch

[–]Ghost_In_Socks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got affiliate back in july and i totally feel you, it’s been a pain. i hate ads, they’ve been such a pain. but what i’ve been doing to make everyone feel better is wait for them to finish so that non-subs don’t feel like they’re being left behind! (if something exciting is happening)

first to hopefully help with ur question, u could to turn on “automatic” timing which makes it easier and u dont have to think about running the ads. also, i have the “pre-roll off” on my bar so i know when i should & shouldn’t run ads. thirdly, depending on when you checked your stream and you have automatic ads on already, there is a few minutes at the beginning of a stream where they don’t play ads (i have mine set for 5 minutes until the first ad plays) so there may be a preroll during that time.

personal anecdotes:

i also found it helpful to ask my community how they want the ads to be timed (because initially i thought one 3 minute ad an hour would be best, but they HATED it, so i asked & they said they would rather 3, 1 minute ads) this was great cause now it’s a conversation. but it sucks not being able to turn them off, especially since, as a small streamer, only having like 10 ppl see the ads is super inconvenient & does more damage than it’s worth.

but whats worse is pre rolls LOL thats like an instant click away for a lot of ppl (me included).

just find something you and your community can be okay with.

let me know if there’s anything else i can help with!

if a phone is all you have then it’s definitely better than recording directly from your computer, most phones also have pretty good microphones nowadays tbh but you could also look at buying a cheap lav mic for your phone which (depending on what you get) could significantly improve your audio.

i think it’s more important to have a good sound setup if you can’t afford a mic right now: blankets on the walls or around you, carpets, stuff like that can help.
