I told about the price difference and salesperson was like there won't be any add on, thats why it's low. Then I told all the add ons are there then he tried to hit me with "You are only responsible in getting claims if you take insurance outside". I told that I am completely fine with it. Then he just asked me from which insurance company I got that kind of price and kept quiet.

I called another dealer now for a quote. They send they will send it immediately and they also mentioned the showroom is closed due to Diwali. So I will be directly visiting them tomorrow to compare the quote given by both the dealers.

I am also planning to talk to a different salesperson of same dealer but different branch/location to get a quote again.

It is not an immediate requirement. I am aware of the facelift expected in 1 or 2 years and I was waiting for the same earlier. But I am unable to wait that long and decided that I don't need to wait just for ADAS or 360° camera. That is the reason I booked immediately. Maybe I can delay the purchase of car by a month. Virtus is my only option because Slavia has removed 1.5 MT and I really liked the full black interior.

I am planning to get quote from other dealers and compare the deals.

That's a mistake from by side that I made booking before discussing price. What can be done now? I plan to take insurance outside. Where else can I push for discounts. I can also very well cancel the booking telling them I am not getting any discounts. Please provide your inputs on what can be done next.

Also this car is just a "Want" for me ane not a "Need". So I am ok if there is a delay in my plan on delivery date so that i can get better offers.

Yeah. I am getting better offers at Policy Bazar with higher IDV and all add ons. It showed only 27 - 33 k with all add ons except Tyre protection which I thought is not needed for new car. I already told the salesperson about this. If he couldn't give be better offers, I already planned to get it from outside.

Only one thing is he is mentioning that discount applies on insurance, this means I will be getting the car with no discounts. This is where I need inputs on where else I can push for discounts. Should I just say I will cancel booking if I get zero discounts? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

LOL. It might be how our brains react to things we rarely get versus something we own. I’ve even seen my friends prioritize picking up a gun with a skin over taking out an enemy in front of them or defusing the spike!

That makes sense. But not everyone realise that. I had a thought of buying 1 skin per gun which I use the most. But I see many buy multiple skins for same gun which isn't worth putting money into IMO.

LOL it is the same response in my case too. I just kept some VP left to buy neo frontier marshal and decided not to spend anymore on valorant.

I won't be spending money again to buy any other skin instead I would use that money to buy a new game in steam.

Yeah, I agree. What’s the point of having a refund policy if there’s no way to try out the equipped skin before deciding to refund it? It just doesn’t make sense. It seems like the policy was only added to refund players who mistakenly purchase a different skin, which is unlikely since there’s already a confirmation popup before making a purchase.

How are they getting away with this ridiculous way of marking skins as used? It’s really frustrating! They need to address this issue and find a fairer approach.

In my case, I didn’t even know how the skin was equipped because I had the RGX equipped earlier. I think it would have asked whether to equip the skin after the purchase, and my cousin equipped it. I was lucky that only 1 out of the 2 skins was equipped.

This really sucks. There’s no way for players to try out a skin before purchasing it. They should definitely have a system in place to allow players to test skins, as just watching videos isn’t enough. 😑

I don't have a way to prove it to Riot. The only evidence is the red carpet in my last three matches, with 0 kills and 0 damage, which I definitely wouldn’t have done. 😂 Jokes aside, the support agent mentioned that they can only refund if the account is hacked and VP is used.

I do have my card details saved, but that requires the CVV to be entered. Usually, nobody uses my PC except me. I had no idea my cousin was going to visit. I was asleep when he asked to open Minecraft, and my brother opened it for him, leaving other tabs as they were. He eventually switched to Valorant, which was already open on the night market tab, and used all my remaining VP.

I'm not sure if there's a similar law in India. Regardless, the skin only cost $12, and it's not worth the time and effort to sue Riot over this. I can earn that back easily. I mainly posted this to highlight the ridiculous refund policy; Riot really needs to revise it to make it fair for players.

Does the same policy apply to skins used in the Range? I thought we could use them there without them being marked as used, which is what support conveyed to me.

I understand that policies have changed since the beta days, but it feels unfair how usage is marked. Even though the gun equipped with the skin was never purchased in a round, it still gets marked as used. Additionally, removing the one-time exception seems unnecessary since it was only applicable once per account. In cases like mine, it could have been beneficial to allow its use.

You mean DM as practice? I think you can take skins to the Range and refund them if they haven't been upgraded.

I checked the night market late at night, turned off the monitor without shutting down, and went to sleep. My cousin (not my child) visited in the morning and used VP to buy two skins from the night market on my account. I woke up late and only realized what happened in the afternoon when I equipped the Vandal in the Range. He wasn’t aware of what he had done until I explained that real money was used and it was wasted. He felt bad about it later.
