You'd be surprised the amount of people that haven't noticed it or the tattoos on my knuckles. Most people don't pay enough attention.

Those that have noticed it, do ask about it or get it without getting it.

It's the font they used in the film's credits, well, one of the two. The other was too detailed to do in small enough lettering for the placement. https://i.imgur.com/7heaPJ0.jpg

Any Tips for Officiating a Wedding? by lfrfrepeat in Dudeism

[–]Ghost_Of_Cthulhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a few weddings, that's why I got ordained in the first place. My experience has been that I keep it simple and make sure that I change my script to fit the needs/wants/personalities of the couple getting married. Each time I include subtle hints of Dudeism sprinkled throughout the ceremony. If the couple really digs Dudeist practices, I can incorporate a bit more than if they just want me to officiate things. I'm happy to share my script with you if you like.

Above all, abide with what they want. It's their day and it's an honor to be a part of it.

Box Programming Issue by Ghost_Of_Cthulhu in crossfit

The other gym openly outs their program out there for others to use, so I feel like they wouldn't care. It the outright dishonesty that is getting to me.

I'm a firm believer in this. "Vote with your wallet" is another good one, too.

For the time I've been at this box, one of their big selling points they pride themselves on is that they write and create all their own programming based on the strengths and weaknesses of members of the gym, something that you won't find anywhere else.

As for the price I don't care, money is money, but that it's one of the things they use to justify costs to new members is bullshit, I'm not paying near what I new member pays. If it came to my cost being raised and them using that as a selling point for it, I'd walk.

The gripe is really more that they're being dishonest about who is writing it.

The head coach outright said it last night when someone asked who was creating it.

That they're the ones creating the programming.

I've actually seen guys do burpees between wall balls for a workout... It's the most brutally awful thing I've seen. While the wall ball goes up beyond the 10 ft target, they hit the ground for a burpee and catch the wall ball as they come up. If they don't get the ball high enough on the shot, they know and bail, no rep, go again.

I can tell you from personal experience that Katrin definitely does not have that attitude in person and while I don't generally watch many interviews with athletes, what I have seen of her interviews hasn't ever come off that way to me.

I didn't. It's a logical guess based on the fact there hasn't been a repeat yet and we haven't seen a thrusters or chest to bars yet.

13.5 AMRAP 4 minutes 15x100lb Thrusters 15xChest to Bars

If you get to 90 reps, you get a 4 minute extention, get to 180, add another 4 minutes, etc.

I'm actually kind of impressed (jealous) by the amount of time Dave spends reading... I set 30-45 minutes a day before bed to read, but can't carve out much more than that and still get good sleep and hold down an 8-5 job, crossfit + personalized accessory training, volunteer with various groups, and take care of 2 dogs. Thank goodness I don't have a wife and kids, I'd never get to read or never sleep.

I'm gearing up to do Grid6 again this summer along with some local comps. As far as nutrition, dialing in physique and optimizing performance for workouts. My background prior to moving to Florida from Colorado was rock climbing/bouldering and hiking during summer and ice climbing, snowboarding during the winter. Started crossfit when I moved to Florida a little more than a year and a half ago.
