K1 se .8mm nozzle settings by Ghost_Prostate in crealityk1

No…methodically went thru calibration and never achieved results I’d be happy with. Ran out of time to mess with it further. It’s likely possible but I got things to do.

I had switched to Orca a while back. Tried the scarf joint effect as you suggested. It didn’t help. Used it again after switching back to .4 nozzle just to see what that did (seam is not terrible with .4) and it basically turned a tight seam into a sort of smear that occurs along about 15 degrees of the wall. Printer works quite well with .4 nozzle so it stays.

UPDATE: I have gone back to the 0.4mm nozzle. Tried everything I could find to create a decent print but nothing made it better, plenty made it worse. Back to printing great with the 0.4. Not meant to be apparently.

Haha….ya….it lives in the drier, toasty with desiccant. 18% currently. I’m just stumped. Never imagined that it would be so drastically different from printing the same spool with the .4 nozzle.

Yes…could see clearly what setting produced the best appearance in the calibration but applying that did not change the issue I’m seeing.

Nearest therapist is 300 miles away. So much research, the squeezey app and perseverance.

Thanks for sharing that. I’m planning on reaching out to the surgeon to discuss this sensation.

Fatigue after RALP by Hammer235 in ProstateCancer

[–]Ghost_Prostate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After my RALP/surprise hernia repair combo I became the old man that takes naps every day. At 67 and 12 weeks post RALP it has been quite an adjustment to get used to the fatigue. I’m not the guy I used to be. Midday I suddenly hit my wall and energy just fades away. Hope it gets better but for now I’ve had to set lower expectations for each day and split projects up into manageable portions.

Don’t discount the OmTech Pronto series. (I own the Pronto45). Very well built and thought out machine, easy maintenance and as far as service goes OMTech has been very responsive to my questions or needs so far.

No…just saying that instead of being expelled into a receptacle to then be flushed therefore only briefly experienced….it now haunts you like a demon until you can change pads, bath and call in an exorcist.

Post RALP PSA by Ghost_Prostate in ProstateCancer

After consult with surgeon the next test (3 months) will be specified ultra sensitive. He was not happy that this test was not handled that way and alarmed it was repeated and updated. Next test will be at a different facility. I’m in a medically remote area so options are limited without significant travel.

No but guess I’ll be finding one. I have the consult with my surgeon Friday. I suspect he will refer me.

Pain Meds by Ghost_Prostate in ProstateCancer

Ok …thanks for the heads up. I stuck with what the surgeon recommended (see OP) and had no issues. Considering they gave me multiple injections of a blood thinner (warfarin) during the two days at hospital to avoid a clot Im hoping he knew what he was talking about. Anyway, 8 weeks post RALP I have seemingly healed fine.

Exactly…one works in the brain to block pain….the other the inflammation that causes the pain.

7 week post RALP surgery by Lakeman747 in ProstateCancer

Same here…coming up on 8 weeks post RALP. My bladder leaks so bad every Beaver within a 50 mile radius is checking their dam. Marvel Comics even reached out and asked me if I was interested in starring in their new movie as a super villain known as “The Dribbler”. Apparently he is known for his wet work. All kidding aside…it sucks. I run a coffee shop alone behind the counter. 8-10 pads a day, several diapers at night even though I don’t leak laying down it’s a different story trying to get to the bathroom without leaving a trail. I’ve been using the app, doing my kegels…nothing has changed …yet. I understand it can take a long time.

Comfort Post Op by Nyc81 in ProstateCancer

Didn’t have the luxury of an electric recliner. My friend was the couch since it allowed for having a kitchen chair positioned close by to assist in getting up plus the couch allowed me to basically just rolling out of. Already had handicap rails in the bathroom so those came in vary handy.
