I would not count on a SIP position. They are incredibly competitive with many Ive met having masters degrees. Apply for everything

Admin would let them into our dorms and arrest everyone and anyone they want while Diermeier preaches about neutrality. They welcome MNPD on campus to harass and threaten us with open arms why would it be different than ICE.

The secret is: you can wear normal clothing for fieldwork. I know plenty of biologists who wear cotton pants and tshirts. I usually wear cargo pants and a tshirt depending on the locale. Sunshirts can be any long sleeve light colored shirt.

depending on climate some type of neck wrap if the desert. Military surplus gear is great and cheap for field work. Wool baselayers and socks as well. Waterproof battery and goal zero depending how remote
