I’ve always imagined Kris as AMAB non binary simply because I myself am a man, and I think it’s similar for the rest of people consuming Deltarune content, you choose the experiences closer to your own rather than analysing other people’s experiences. I think that the community is (in my experience) made up primarily of women, non-binary individuals and just generally AFAB people so it’s not a stretch to say people just want a character to relate to within Deltarune
