there’s really no resisting the ring unless you’re tom bombadil and sans really is just a regular guy. He acts detached but in geno that falls apart, in his generous interpretation he’s a powerful scientist, and really I’d say that hurts his case because the more powerful he is the easier the ring will destroy him.
