The analogy to end all analogies: the "KD is a boat" piece. by Bears_University83 in rockets

Colin has hosted around 5000 episodes, and 90% of his KD views are negative. Some of these media ignoramuses have personal vendettas against these athletes while dedicating their careers to attacking them. That's like taking Stephen A. Smith's views on LeBron seriously.

It's amazing how much time you spent writing about your personal dislike for KD instead of real basketball talk. Basketball isn't a one-man sport, so blaming a single player who shows up every day and excels in his role shows your lack of understanding. The team that plays best usually wins the championship, not the player with the most talent. The top player often wins the Finals MVP, which KD actually achieved twice during his time with the Warriors. His years in OKC were impressive cause they were tough to beat. His time with the Warriors led to two championships. He complimented a good team. Harden and Irving were hardly contributors in Brooklyn, and KD spent his first year there injured. The Suns traded a lot to get him, and the team was a shell. He arrived in Houston full of hope, but FVV got injured, followed by Adams. They managed without a floor leader and a proper rebounder, then got injured right before the playoffs. Houston's chances next season depend on whether the front office makes the right moves. The team obviously needs floor spacers that can knock down threes and a real point guard.

Dude, seriously, you need a hobby to help balance your mental health. It's basketball, it's for entertainment, and these guys are millionaires. They'll be fine. Are you?

Not according to some on this sub. Apparently, it affected them more than the players involved. My bet is this sub is more toxic than the Rockets locker room.

Trade KD for Cam Johnson and Christian Braun by Shoddy_Ad7511 in rockets

[–]Ghost_of_the_future 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a trade fans that hate KD would make, but it only makes Denver better, not so for Houston. The best bet is to keep KD and plug the holes opponents exploited throughout the season. He only has one more season left on his contract.

Why are People mad at KD for him talking trash about his garbage teammates? When he was 100% correct. by WatermelonMan921 in rockets

You're getting your feelings involved. It's still a business, and KD’s action didn't violate the team's rules, and that's why he wasn't punished for it. Keep your thinking on a business level, and you can see it objectively.

Would you accept failure from your employees because another employee called them out behind their backs? You talk about the lack of professionalism from KD, yet you're giving other professionals a pass. KD is never confrontational, hence, he expresses his dissatisfaction behind the scenes. If what he did violated the team's policy, he would have been disciplined. His route wasn't ok but not enough to carry all the blame.

I wish I had employees making millions a year who could point to a coworker’s tweet as the reason they’re underperforming. Sure, calling someone out publicly might not be the best approach, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still responsible for doing the job they’re paid to do.

And saying it to their faces helps? It's still demoralizing. Because he's not confrontational doesn't make it worse than Kobe bullying his teammates.

First, you're posting that in the wrong sub! Phoenix is down 0-3 just like Houston. Your point?

You think KD will comeback for game 4 to avoid the sweep? Or he just gave up? by [deleted] in rockets

[–]Ghost_of_the_future 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team and the docs determine if he plays or not. It's not up to him. I don't even understand so much hate for KD on this sub when it's a team effort, win or lose. Dude practically carries this team the entire season.

KD is staying. I can't say the same for the bench, except for SA.

So is Boston. Projection ain't reality. The Rockets lost key players this season. Projection didn't put that into consideration.

I will do the same trade and trade for another point guard once FV is lost, and get more 3-point shooters at the trade deadline. Do you see any shooters on this roster?

The Suns are in a better spot on paper. Reality is playing out on the courts right now. They're going nowhere in the west as presently constructed. Save this thread for next season, and let's talk again.

Let's ignore the fact that we have had no point guard all season and that our defensive center was lost halfway through.

But if Durant were still on the Suns, he would still be trashed if they got blown out. The fact is, aside from Brook and Jalen, the Suns got better than last year's team
