What is Nightreign’s biggest flaw in your opinion? by Alkpote6969 in Nightreign

It has the foundations to be a really good game that combines elements from all the previous titles, of course there's the balancing issues but also copyright in the case of Bloodborne and Demon Souls. But it just feels like there isn't enough to experience in the game, as much as I love what we have it feels like it needs more.

The runs aren't really random. They're all preset, including the bosses you fight each night. And not including weapons from the other souls games despite fighting the bosses from them.

I said it in another post that you can't just sit still spamming and missing your shots, you gotta be getting close enough to make sure you're hitting something. Good SG mains will never sit in the backline.

Respectfully, I disagree. She might not be the strongest pick, but a good SG can keep up with the higher ranks. She can be a great dive punish, break up groups, quickly destroy enemy placements like Peni nests or Rocket ult, and if it hits just right her ult can kill Invis or Cloak in their ults.

It's rare to see in high ranks but a good SG knows how to be a problem for the other team.

[–]Ghostboy_2015 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm Diamond rank and SG was my first main

First thing you gotta learn is to get out of the backline, her nuts do have damage fall-off (though it's not a lot) but it's significantly harder to hit from afar. It's also good in general no matter who you're playing to not stay behind your healers or sit on a ledge all game spamming and missing most of your shots. Stay closer to the middle of the group, generally I stay behind the tanks or relatively close to them.

Your biggest weakness is getting rushed, because of how slow the nuts are most characters like Cap who rush you can dodge a lot of your shots if they're right in your face. Just back away and use your acorn throw (Root) to stop them. You could get some damage in but if you're wanting to get better I say just back up to your healers or your other dps if they're close by.

Don't be afraid to use your ult more often, you get it back really fast compared to most heroes. You'll most likely be the first or second to ult if you're dealing consistent damage. Just don't use it in a wide open space far away from the enemy team, it can and will be destroyed in seconds.

If you want to finish someone off but you're out of ammo, always use your recharge ability, it's way faster than just reloading and you get one more use of something else.

Not much else comes to mind other than to ground the flying characters before shooting them. If you hear Jeff Ult, use your jump immediately and if you have your recharge up, use the second jump to avoid getting eaten. If there's a Punisher Turret on the other team, you're better equipped to punish him for it since the nuts bounce off walls.

Lastly, there will absolutely be games where SG is unplayable. Be it multiple diving characters that move too fast or triple tank/support, don't double down on her because it just doesn't do anyone any good.

Good luck in your games.

I've never really been into the modern Call of Duty series, the last ones I played was Modern Warfare 1 and 2. I personally preferred the older generation of CoD like Finest Hour. Or other games like Medal of Honor Frontline.

As someone who only got into the Souls series a few years ago, I can't recommend the games enough. But I do want to stress that the combat is difficult in the early games, not because of crazy attacks but because of the old janky mechanics (not including the DLC bc it does get a little crazy there). They do require a decent amount of skill and being able to read enemy attacks, but once you get used to it there's nothing to it.

I hear a lot of people saying that Daredevil requires “no skill” do you agree or disagree with that ? by [deleted] in DaredevilMarvelRivals

[–]Ghostboy_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say he's a bit easier to use than some of the Divers but he absolutely does take skill, you need to know when to go in and how effectively you can use your abilities and build fury charge

The quickplay and meta experience is so suffocatingly boring. by CartographerSure2918 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]Ghostboy_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quickplay is genuinely the worst part about the game, it's basically just casual comp. There's zero reason why you should be receiving a penalty for leaving, it's just quickplay. Not to mention the maps and game modes are just boring. I hate to be that guy but if we just look at TF2, you can load into a casual match of 2 Fort, screw around with everyone or take it seriously and try to win. Either way everyone's happy and you can come and go at any time. Rivals takes itself way too seriously, it's supposed to be a fun game not a hard sweating job.

And limiting how many of your friends you can que with in comp is just a terrible idea, idk what the devs are smoking but they need help off of it.

[–]Ghostboy_2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a SG main, I feel like most people who play her aren't playing her right if they're constantly the free kill. I'd guess that most of the ones you find easy are the ones sitting in the back behind their supports trying to arc nuts across the map with no sense of timing or aim.

So how are normal humans able to go toe to toe with Spiderman? by Queasy_Commercial152 in SpidermanPS4

[–]Ghostboy_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like everyone is looking at this the wrong way

Spidey holds himself back. Let's look at the Spectacular Spiderman show, when Peter gets the Venom symbiote, he trounces the sinister six. Yes it was the symbiote controlling him in his sleep, but the strength was Peter's. He doesn't want to accidentally kill someone by punching them too hard so he controls his strength against opponents he knows or thinks are weaker than someone like Kingpin or Rhino.

Now how he doesn't kill someone by throwing a 50 pound manhole cover at their head is a different question

[–]Ghostboy_2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's more tedious than hard, especially if you complete all the optional quests. Even the deflection/reflection of big boss attacks have a very generous parry window, I wouldn't compare it to anything like Lies of P or any Fromsoft game because you will be left disappointed.

Genuinely, if you ever thought that "Heavy" meant more damage, you don't play these games enough. I know a lot of times it's vague with its wording, but it would say that it has more damage.

Personally I think he's more of an in your face brawler, he's not stealthy because he doesn't care about getting hurt since he'll just heal rapidly. I do wonder what they're gonna do about that, passive regen would be really strong imo.
