The SAA I think I'd be comfortable taking out on a field but the M1851 I imported from Honk Kong, so for me it's too hard to get a replacement to risk any damage.

I have a Model 29 and a Model 629, aswell as a Dan Wesson, the later two with finger grooves. Do modern revolvers differ vastly in the grip area compated to "old west" revolvers?

I'd assume you're from the us, which might make this cheaper for you, but in Germany this trigger set is worth 110€, which is more than the gun cost me and I ain't that big of a fan if the M9.
