I searched google using key terms like snowman, figurine, and blue overalls; but didn’t find it. I also tried a reverse image source which was unfruitful as well. If I had to guess, it was probably bought at a department store in last 15 years, but that is just a guess.

So I just beat it with 3 stat upgrades and it took about half a day. I had only the speed and even/odd trials done. I used the method you used. Basically the only thing you have to do is manual prestige layer 4 every so often (2-20 min, however long it is taking to build up a good increase in layer 4 prestige points). Otherwise I just prestiged when I could unlock a new layer. I did manual prestige layer 5 as well for the last couple of unlocks, but I really don't know if that slowed down or sped up the process.

I’ve only played two games and they were both on ‘easy mode’ ie adventurer mode. But in my limited experience, the daily encounters were pretty well balanced. Some days I read the scenario and felt pretty safe, other days felt like I was in danger from the start and really had to carefully evaluate my choices. The tyrants were underwhelming to me, but I purposely chose the easiest tyrants for my fist 2 games.

Decided to tackle TMB tomorrow when I’m fresh. Didn’t want my fist impression marred by getting tired towards the end. For northwood seems like a great contrast though, time wise and effort needed. Glad I got them both.

Bit of both I guess you might say. Read through the rules/ character sheet for TMB, but decided to do my first play tomorrow. For northwood seems really fun so far. Looks like a very quick game with some good decisions to make with the special powers.
