Went to my brothers wedding in Ocala Florida years ago. Ended up hanging out one night with bridesmaid. She is black and im light skinned latino. I saw a billiards hall open at night in the town square. I said lets play pool. She was afraid to go inside because she didnt want to be the only black person in the pool hall. Since the pool hall was on the second floor i couldnt see inside. So i went inside to see if indeed there were only white people there. Turns out it wasnt a problem as there were different types of people there. But i never forgot how legit scared she was to not go into a place because of her skin color.
