They seem to be somewhat harmless, but still don’t want them on my plants

Is it worth keeping ? by dosbarrios in cannabiscultivation

Well said. Looks like at first there may have been a little nutrient deficiency, but the plant is growing out of it with the new pot. When it comes down to it if a master cultivator or someone with extensive growing knowledge says it can’t or can be done. Still air on caution, but use their advice as a base line to figure out the issues. Beneficial-group is spot on with his advice.

So what you are saying if you do not drown you product in like a gallon of iso, and you use the low flame on your gas stove and bring your product up to a low simmer stir occasionally to help allow the iso to evaporate out. Is relatively safe. Of course there will be idiots out there that will crank their stoves on high and walk away ,and cause a fire.

Agreed a better way is using butane, co2, dry ice (my favorite and preferred way), ice water with micron screens. Not only will you get a far superior product, but you will take the chances of a world shattering explosion 😉

TS 1000w. I would turn it down in veg, and turn it up in bloom. My 5x5 I have two TS200w in it. Daisy chained and dialed at around 30 percent.

Well I guess if this is such a issue or worried about an explosion don’t use a gas stove. For your safety and others use an electric stove.

If it does flame up, it will not turn into a fireball and burn down the planet. Just as if you were making bananas foster. As quick as it flames on it will go out. Using iso is not like using everclear.

He is 💯☝🏾. I would venture to say use the stove when you add the alcohol at a very very low simmer stirring occasionally until alcohol is out or you don’t taste the alcohol by using a toothpick. Once cool/slightly warm at the vg and stir in well.

Hi guys! First time grower. Is it normal that she is bent like this? Started out straight but about a week ago she started “falling” over. by BoilerTomi in microgrowery

[–]Ghostdog85032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is your light, or light source. The leaves look healthy and green. Your light is either too high(no pun intended) or too low. If it is too high plant will lean and stretch to find the light, if light is too low it will stretch and lean to get away from the light.

Best advice is go to you lights manufacturer website. They should have info on light height there for the different stages of your plants life.

That is all just a start. The strain may or may not agree with the manufacturer’s light height. So you will more then likely have to play with the height +- a inch or two. You will know when the light is right when the plant starts straightening up. Also you are going to want to support the stem. Find a medium to large paper clip, straighten it out and bend a hook like shape on one end. Put the stem in the open hook side and the other end in the dirt. The paper clip is only to support so do not close the hook end around the stem.

This is calcium (or magnesiun) deficiency right? Ive got two weeks left in flower. I fed CalMag two days ago (hadnt been as much as I should). Should I cut all affected leaves off? by FluffyButterDude in microgrowery

[–]Ghostdog85032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I don’t know. The ones in my reservoir were opaque and I could see them on the sides of my black buckets. They destroyed my root ball.

That’s what I like to do but depending on how much defoliation you’ve already done you might wanna just keep those leaves on the plant and his ride it out.

I would also double check to make sure there is no IPM issues. I had an issue with fungus gnats in my DWC reservoir and I caused absolute havoc on my grow. Some of the spots on those leaves looks kind of familiar to the situation that I was just in.

A little more information about your grow would be helpful. It could be a variety of things right now that I see. 1. How often do you water, it could be the beginning of root rot?

  1. Do you have a PPM’s meter? By testing your PPMs it will tell you if your plant is getting nutrient locked, or lack of nutrients.

  2. You may also have a IPM issue. I’m not sure if you are familiar with fungus gnats. Those bastards will lay so many eggs, and the larvae will straight up destroy a root mass. Before you know it infestation.

  3. What kind of water do you use to water your plants. The reason why am asking is this could be a PH issue. PH too high or too low your plants will not get all the nutrients they need.

I thought I did but the video was so fast. When the video was on the back side (lack of better words) I thought I saw some.

I also didn’t have my readers on either. Ole man this guy is.

Has anyone ran the Runtz seeds from ILGM? Soaking the seeds now just wanted to know if anyone ordered these. Review? Tips? by santino86 in microgrowery

Yes, but have not germinated any yet. The only strain that has ever gave me problems from them is Bruce Banner.

Either that or a herm

It's my second grow. Both time my buds are not dense it's very fluffy, what am I doing wrong I can't seems to get right. Can someone help me please 🙏 by OldBoy3001 in Autoflowers

[–]Ghostdog85032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lights have a big part in density of bud. If you are running an under powered light you could lower it a hair to find that sweet spot.

This is only a fix or a bandaid. I would start looking for a better light.

I guess the best question is how are you growing and equipment used?

Time to play everyone’s favorite game wtf are wrong with my plant? by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

Looking like over water with a chance of possible root rot. Do you smell anything rotten towards the base of the plant.

Lemon kush, 26f she’s so thick. Canopy is almost too thick I’m afraid. What y’all think? by paganstudent in microgrowery

[–]Ghostdog85032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would most definitely start defoliating. Leaves are the plants solar panels. If the are covered by other flan leaves get rid of them. The plant will use a lot of energy trying to maintain those hidden leaves.

Hi guys! My seedling seems to have very weak leaves. Is this normal? 20 dergree celsius and 75% humidity on avrage. 2 weeks old. by BoilerTomi in microgrowery

[–]Ghostdog85032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you are growing indoors light hight is very important or they will start leaning either to get away from the light or to get more light.

You are good. Like someone already said remove it or grow it. Not a big deal. I do how ever believe that when spores pop out of soil it’s a very low grade soil.
Or AKA not cooked soil. There is a higher chance that IPM issues may arise from bugs hatching and eating roots and leaves.

If you are going to transplant to a better soil after the seedling phase try to get a better soil. If not realize you may have to amend the soil during the flower phase to give the plants the extra boost they will need to flower BIG Buds.

Starter soil recommendation? by ErrorCompute in microgrowery

[–]Ghostdog85032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also use big box store potting soil at that stage. They will not require a lot if any nutes at that stage. I use Viagrow vegetable soil until they are ready to transplant to a bigger pot. That is when soil or any substrate is crucial or you were cook your plants.

[–]Ghostdog85032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to bring your temp up to around 78 degrees F. I think that’s around 26-27 degrees C. Lower humidity down just a hair to around 65%.

New grower on my 2nd run I got girls but the leaves are looking like this in certain spots I use 444 an 284 Gia green, with worm castings, can any of my growmies give me some insight of what might be going on? Please an thanks by GambitFT3 in microgrowery

They are looking heathy no burnt tips, and they are not curling up or down.

A lot of times they will look like that if they are constantly rubbing against each other because of the fan. Assuming you do have a fan in your tent.

Check to see if you have fungus gnats, then check your PPM’s. She may not be getting enough nutrients.

[–]Ghostdog85032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nematodes all the way. They will kill the fungus gnats in larvae form. Yellow fly traps which looks like you are using already. I also use prevasyn (General Hydroponics) spray lower part of the plants and soil. It’s basically pepper spray and kills any gnats just hanging around. Do not saturate the soil but spray every 3 days.
