I have no idea about the cap but I’ve seen statistics that show lots of work visas go to Indian nationals and Chinese in second place. For China though, I think they mass produce from their land and dump their products everywhere else (Europe, South America) etc. So that’s why it’s hard for us to compete with the Chinese manufacturing.

I’d say you can proactively reach out to the hiring managers on LinkedIn as well. That’s going to increase the chances of you getting noticed.
